18/F/United States I play piano / I like to sing / I've always had a strong need to figure out all the whys in the world and I believe poetry is a tool to find the whys within ourselves. Its a window into the heart and mind of the poet.
An arching bridge, ablaze, frames bending under the weight of steps. Charred wood slowly crumbles beneath the hopeful crowd— each step a promise, each breath a fragile bond. Across— a land, a place everyone dreams of being. Flames grow higher, frames begin to groan. Fear reclaims its grip, clinging tight to rattling chains. People push, they shove— some punch, some yell. One man stamps his foot— a loud crack. The crowd gasps. That man falls between the gap. Others retreat, fleeing back across the bridge. The man feels the weight grow thin. Amid the chaos of hastened feet, he watches the bridge begin to collapse. The son, filled with fear, fears the fire might consume him. Does he bring more folks, or save himself? Unsure— he flees his father’s side. The man dangles in midair, in front of everyone there, growing weaker by the minute. The little boy returns— confident, yet uneasy. He soaks the bridge in gasoline, throws the match, and doesn’t look back. And in the silence after flame, people came to know— The bridge was never lost to fire, but to fear and excess desire. Lost to plastic mouths that spoke too many things that were never true. Lost to those who truly forgot the only right thing to do. It was lost to selfishness, to hatred, and all the fighting— to greed, to fear, to stubborn pride, to trickery and slighting. Lost, because we forgot what it means to stick together. Had they never left the bridge, they could have saved that man together.

It slipped between cracks light-bound Unspoken a weather not forecast but felt The soil rejected it's guest Yet something ruptured Through splintered stone A ghost within petals its color fading into the void I learned the shape of absence by the scratches in fractured glass By the dust In clouded mirrors Here stillness takes sides. silence holds a pulse With a heart that beats What softens is not often spared petals peel inward altars consume what kneels too long What speaks too much I prayed anyway No name holds this here, but I know where the garden fell There— where liquid gold Has a ****** tinge and sufferance grew gracefully To fully blossom In the cruelest manner Where the core fractures So the ground may hold it's glory

Lovely little liars Sing your songs to Me Tell me what I want to hear Tell me who to be Tell me that I'm perfect And I'm beautiful and sweet take away this bitterness That people see in me Teach me all your secret spells That armour up the mind Let me in your world of strength And see what I can find Lovely little liars Show your polished teeth Teach me how to smile through This poisoned mask of grief Teach me how to bottle up The feelings I can't say Teach me how to be so bright I'll never fade to grey Lovely little liars Won't you use your words for good? I bet it'd take your heart of steel And soften it to wood Won't you pass the torch to me I'll set it all alight The warmth you'll feel The light you'll see Will fill you with delight ..... Lovely little liars Won't you sing to me Let me feel the weight of love In your melodies Let me feel your soul grow light And See your eyes begin to glitter As the life restores behind your face Renewed, You'll be a winner

Lovely Little Liars
If this was your last Would you be satisfied With the words you had to say to me With whatever's on your mind

Something to remember
I could feel it's eyes On the back of my head Preferably forgotten Shoved aside Ignored It feels better this way But nothing is forever It dug it's way in Infecting my mind As it sat in my chest And kicked at my heart As it grabbed hold of my breathless strands of words And swung To and fro Back and forth Higher and higher It latched on tighter So tight it hurt my throat swelled And my mouth opened A gaping Twisted Sagging Simper As my watering eyes flooded my face In salty Sorrowful Sobs

My beautiful gem of unparalleled brilliance In likeness to the most radiant star an exquisite gem, scintillated akin to the crystalline waters beneath the silvery embrace of the moonlight, shimmering and glittering as it rested delicately between my fingers. My pursuit of it had been fervent and enduring. Alas, The boat began to sway firmly to and fro, while the wind conspired to press me earnestly against the weathered railing, enfolding my form in an insistent embrace. The wind's strength burgeoned, becoming resolute and unyielding, leaving my heart to plummet into despair as I faltered in my balance, I lamented with anguished cries as I beheld my cherished one plummet overboard, into the relentless depths inexorably descending Under the ravaging waves

What joy to see a rainbow After months of pouring rain Passion is the product Of what delivers pain

Don't push too hard I'll fall Don't pull too hard I'll snap Don't try to corner me I'll escape Don't try to chase me You'll never catch me Just hold me embrace me cherish me Love me its the only way to keep me here In one piece
