26/F I am simply me. I write to not only express how I feel, but to connect to those who cannot express themselves.
When it is my turn For my soul to detach from my body Tell them my story Tell them about the girl Who had dreams of saving the world Who saw the humility and beauty in others Who believed that there was an abundance of greatness Sprinkled throughout the Earth Yet she was blind to her own sparkle The girl who always wanted to give But never felt like she was good enough to receive

Farewell
The sweet scent of marijuana and whisky remind me of nights that tainted my heart I was foolish and intrigued with the thought of you The thought of what could be You had so much to give, yet you were oblivious to your potential I soaked in your scent and allowed it to fully consume me You were the one I needed Intoxicated, I willingly gave you all of the power And you destroyed me within seconds

Late Nights
I have allowed you to hurt me time and time again And I can no longer pretend that it doesn’t matter I will not minimize my pain to clear your conscience I must be selfish with my heart.

Walk Away
In the end, we are left with nothing, But echoes of lies. False “I love yous” dance in your mind. Memories tear at your heart. Constant reminders that you will Never have what you had again. This pain overflows your body. It is engraved in your bones and flows throughout your veins. It is excruciating, yet necessary It assures you that you are alive And if you are capable of tolerating this pain, You are more than capable and deserving of love.
