I haven't seen the whole world,
I haven't seen the whole world.
But I've seen bad things happen to good people,
And today, I saw a person who always smiles, weeping.
I saw a brother crying because of his brother,
I saw parents crying because of their son.
Today, I saw joint families breaking apart,
And I saw elders being insulted on the busy streets.
I saw a child with tears in their eyes, longing for food,
I saw parents being humiliated by their own son.
I saw people change toward their loved ones for money,
I saw people being made homeless before my very eyes.
I try to understand, wondering why,
Today, I saw the world through clear lenses.
Perhaps, the "inverted" view was actually right,
At least in that darkness,
I was in a place,
Where I always saw people smiling.

The tiny stars follow us
