PinkPigs
Staring up at the sky his mind begins to roam Wondering what wonderful things could be In a world with no rules, no limitations Where imagination and dreams are the order of the day Where giant jelly fish move gracefully through the air Despite their gelatinous make-up Their large body pulsating as they move like liquid mercury across the expanse of the sky Their tentacles dancing in the wind like strands of silvery pink ribbons A land where dreams come true Where ideas are celebrated and not scorned A land where anything is possible and the word impossible is unknown Where logic is not defined by what is scientifically correct Where one can dive into the ocean breathing in all its beauty Scaling its depth to find its hidden treasures Riding the oceans current wherever they may take you With no need for oxygen tanks or pressure instruments A land of possibility and opportunity Where creativity flows in abundance like honey Bringing a sweetness to all that it comes across Covering the world in a warm golden glow of happiness A world where anything can happen and does A world where dreams come true A world worth fighting for A world that could be true Slowly lowering his eyes to the horizon, paintbrush in hand He begins his journey of a thousand strokes Painting the vast canvas of this world with imagination and dreams Breaking down the rigid structures of grey conformity Till all that remains is a world of freedom and grace A world where the impossible is an everyday occurrence A world where people push past their limitations to find that they are more capable than they thought A world where dreams fill the air like butterflies saturating the air with possibility A world that takes your breath away That silences the doubts within A world that sets one free To be who he was born to be

The wind gently blowing through the trees Rustling the leaves on the ground Lying down on the soft emerald green grass She looks up at the bright blue sky Hoping a change in perspective may help Her eyes tried from all the tears she’s cried She stares off into the vast blueness Hoping to find some clue as to why things turned out this way Wondering if life will ever change Terrified that it may never As she stares off into the nothingness Her mind begins to draw pictures of what could be Jelly fish floating through the air with ease Pink pigs playing in the wind Her life a happy one But she knows these will never be Slowly lifting her weight She brushes off the dreams of what could be like pieces of grass And slowly trudges back Back to the life she will always know

Dreaming
From way up high the world looked so small From way up high he felt he was above it all So there way up high he hung looking down all beneath From up there he felt no one could touch him Nothing could bring him down So from up there he enjoyed his view of the world Unconcerned about anything but himself But one fateful day something changed And as he playing in the wind he noticed a change There on the tip of his leaf the colour began to change Slowly but surely he began to turn red At first he was terrified what did this mean But the redder he got the more proud he got He was the only red in a sea of green So there he danced in the wind Boasting to all that could hear of his new colour change But then another change began to take place Where once he felt secure and safe on his branch He now began to feel like he was somehow slipping He tried desperately to hold onto that which he knew But fate had other plans As the sun rose the next morning a playful gust of wind blew in The wind blew through the tree that fateful morning Rustling the leaves all around The red leaf tried to hold on for dear life But alas the wind was just too strong Tugging and pulling at the leaf Till off he blew with the wind The leaf cried out in fear But as he opened his eyes a new world he saw Through the rollercoaster ride upon the wind The leaf began to see the world he never knew He saw a world he never took the time to know Flying up and down, round and round He began to see those he had always looked down upon And as the wind began to die down The leaf slowly descended back to the ground From way down there he looked up and longed for his old home He longed to be playing in the wind again But there he lay on the ground His once red colour now gone He put down his head to rest

Can I borrow your eyes if only for a moment I seem to have lost all perspective Lost my point of view My glasses are so full of lies Stains that will not wipe away So could I please just borrow your eyes for but a moment So I can once again see life Without my own preconceived notions To see what truly is there before me To see the world in beauty once more So please could I borrow your eyes I want so badly to see But my eyes are filled with so many tears From all the hurt within And I’m struggling to see beyond the pain within So would you please Would you let me see, for just a moment All that you see Would you lend your eyes out to me? Would you let me see the truth that is hidden from me? Would you lend me your eyes? To see the beauty that I cannot anymore To hear the laughter once more To be free just for a moment From all the labels that have been placed upon my soul Would you let me see the truth of who I am See the truth of who I am away from these preconceptions

A change of perspective
The water tranquil and still before you In the waters your reflection you do see But nothing more than what already is And what has always been So there you stand searching the great unknown Searching for meaning behind the glass before you Searching for depth where there is none For meaning where none can be found But still you stand convinced there is something more Convinced beneath the waters lies a soul you want to know Convinced you can see through the pretence Convinced you can see at all So slowly you begin moving ever closer Your toe now in the water Neither hot nor cold It changes with your own temperature But still in you walk hoping to find What exactly you’re not sure So you walk in Looking but not seeing The water begins to move Rising and falling Like breath entering the chest cavity for a brief moment Before once again departing from it But the water stays clear No ripples to be seen The creature moving beneath unknown But yet so inviting And on you walk
