Upon the deathbed of Old Man Winter
Autumn placed her golden crown,
and as his heart began to thaw
he helped Spring lace her morning gown.

We walk these shorelines
leaving nothing but footprints
that waves wash away.

who pulled out the sword and could
cleave her heart of stone.

Flower on the bank;
there was forgiveness for all,
but the River Rose.

but how long can we hold on
before we both fall?

I was there when darkness
was all you ever knew.
So black it was; the night,
that your shadows left you too,
but then across the horizon
a beacon's match did strike,
and burned a path right through the dusk
to end your lonely nights.
Years flew by in blinks of an eye
and long gone are those days;
but still despite, I kept the light
that watched you drift away.
Forever my heart will be your guide
so that you never sail alone,
and if you're ever feeling lost
you'll know the way back home.

shine upon closed eyes until
we all learn to bloom.

never fall from the heavens
just to be with me.

litter the great battlefield
of this weary heart.

now lifeless upon the ground,
asking why they fell.
