Remembering the two graduate students with very little than each other
Look how far we have come with so much more to look forward
too

No, I don't devour them often
Once a month to the bakery for one
Eating as I walk
No, not ladylike, but not the point
As a child, we just could not afford it
Was afraid to ask my parents
My dad would have bought one for me
That is no longer an issue
Hope he is smiling down from Heaven
It a treat for the walker
Walking 25 miles weekly for the ASPCA
I write in my head while I walk
Hurry home to jot down what came to mind
Almond Danish was shared with a squirrel on the way

Looking forward to listening to fellow poets read
Seeing friends on our monthly meeting
So hopefully next time the poets will visit in droves
If I encounter issues again
Maybe a poet who never attended before will becone a regular

Kindness and caring employed
Reasons for their writing are endless

My Beautiful Golden Retriever was a family member's dog
He is the closest pet that I ever had
Never had a dog though I adore them
My hubby is severely allergic unfortunately
My daily walks fund the ASPCA on an app called Charity Miles
His paw would be upon my hand if he wanted me to stay or pet him
He now is one of the official welcoming dogs at the Rainbow
Bridge
At least,in my heart
Whenever I meet another Golden,
I know Skippy is saying Hello to me
I love and miss you
Best Friends Animal Society receives am annual donation in his memory

Riding by airports wishing I was departing
I will again
Remembering live concerts and musicals we have attended
Enjoying those moments more than dinners with well meaning friends who could dial it in instead of sitting next to you
Talk about being real
Enjoying life on your own terms
How and when you want it
Sharing it with those you choose
Or alone if it works out that way
Going to climb that rock wall
Read books not listen on audio
Do it your way and enjoy
As for me more concerts and musicals
I like film too
