32/F oh the joy of writing
Lord, I don’t like the way I feel, But I can and I will be healed According to Your will— Signed and sealed With a kiss. It’s there for us — we can’t miss. Do you dare to be revealed? Take up your cross, and be healed. To walk with Jesus is a gift of freedom. We may wander through some ragged fields, Climbing up and over hills, Wondering… how come? But hope steers our bold confidence, So in the valleys and the hills, Eternal life is what we’re promised. Don’t forget the new covenant, if you will. Rest your souls — Jesus is near. For you, and you — Without a doubt. Where are you now? Pick up your sword, let your heart be moved. Hold on to your faith — He’s bringing you out. Out of pain and into the light. We are not of this world; This isn’t our battle to fight. Jesus… The Way, the Truth, and the Life. Here is salvation — He’s already paid the price. And through Him, we can do all things. Let everyone sing praise to His name!

Are You Ready to do Hard Things?
No matter the mood, when you walked in, spirits were lifted. You were a light— truly gifted. A friend we could always count on, a protector, a great son. Your energy was contagious, your laughter still echoes in the memories we hold close, carried in every smile you left on so many faces. Always upbeat, even when days were heavy, you reminded us how to smile, how to live in the moment. We love you for loving us so genuinely. Do you see how many lives you touched so joyfully? That sweet spirit, now resting peacefully— we carry you with us. We love you, Keeyon.

Your Joy Remains
So I’m the newbie, May Jesus be seen in me. You can’t even fathom what I see— The aligning of all seeds. Sown by me? Well, gifts handed to me. Psalm 23, That **** 23… Oh, you’ve made it clear to me. Like David, I lead blindly while running. Ugh, The beauty of surrendering— Yielding… Stop right there! The saving from the fowler’s snare, Have I forgotten such a fact? Yeah, okay, now I see. Lord, have your way with me, I made that pact After failing frequently. Oh, and don’t worry about me— I traded my plans for peace. God’s got me

Balladry
Give her a wink, give her a nudge— remind her You alone are her judge, and no opinion of another can make her budge. When this truth settled in me, it brought such relief; and I know it will bring her twice the peace. From the goodness of her heart, she tends to people-please— yet she is still allowed boundaries. And if the ones you long to please can’t see the sacrifices you make, may you dust your shoes, and shift your light with ease. You shine so bright, genuinely. It reveals impurities, intimidates the wanna-bees, and only few will recognize the beauty flowing from Galilee. Gee— what a woman to be— overflowing with potential and profound capacity. Let no one limit her possibilities, her depth, her personality, or the life breathed from thee. She wears many hats, woven together with grace— multitasking into the very change she longs to see. She cherishes freedom and individuality; a role model she will always be. The kind of woman who soothes your soul in catastrophe— stillness, tranquility. The Spirit dwells within her body: bold, strong-willed, resilient, alive through every rise and fall— yet still radiant. Her laughter, her childlike joy in making friends, her way embracing connection. Her company is welcoming, solid ground, a place of refuge for me. She is the best friend to me. Nurturing, life-giving, clothed in strength and dignity, a woman of integrity. I see it all. And I strive to be half the woman she has been to me. So blessed am I to have a mother as stunning as she. I want to tell a story, Based on my life And the times I spent lonely. When you are the light In an array of stormy, Or have peace When things are gory — That’s when you’ll know To tell your story. Because the times I spent lonely Became the most cherished moments, As I bonded With He who is Holy. To know God is to have life, A life that represents His indescribable kindness. It will shine through you In ways I’m still exploring. Let’s not take for granted “The boring,” For it’s in these moments The Lord does His restoring.
