My notes come from the heart The strings tug like a small vessel The vibration moves my soul All around are crowds of cheering people But all falls on deaf ears My notes come from the heart They are scepters of my indomitable spirit Deaf to sound but not feeling Again, in moonlight I push the keys My notes come from the heart

Notes From the Heart
So alive and so in love Like a single lily in the meadow, there we dance Our waltz of love putting everyone to shame We whirl and twirl, until the night fades away As your coach arrives, I draw for a goodnights kiss But away you ride, leaving me amiss I awake to the sound of furious crashes The ground shakes, It’s those ****** howitzers The muddy trench comes in to view as my dreams fade How I long this war to end so you and I can waltz again

The Waltz
Dull and grey What has become of you Lying face down, not a care anymore Stripped of pride and redressed cheaply So much passion and truth Gone, taken in your youth Go on and listen to your pendulum Go on to your Annabel lee Rest now, man in the street

Love does not cost a dime But greed can destroy souls with time

Love and Greed
As the sun fades, and the moon shines The snow glimmers before my eyes Enamored by the beauty of the snow I forget why I left my cabins warm glow I turn to walk back to my cozy home When I hear a voice call out of the pines It asks why I leave; I say I don’t know Then why don’t you stay and enjoy the snow I thought for only a minute or two I sat on my knees and then I knew The winter of 1905 was calling adieu I came to enjoy what was waving goodbye Then stood myself up and left with a tear in my eye Sitting down at the table with stew in my sight I looked out the window at the beautiful sight I slept that night like a little boy Content I sat and stayed with what I so enjoy Until next winter when we meet once more I dream to meet the snow evermore

Snow
Calmly I sit and listen to the rain The pitter patter of the drop’s sooth my brain The howling wind blows me through the pines It makes me free of my worries binds I wish I could stay under the storms gaze But alas it leaves until another day Goodbye, rain

Rain
Each step makes my stomach churn For I know what these red men yearn Like a lamb being led to the slaughter One by one out onto the cold floor we go No matter how much my mother weeps The red men do not cheep And in an instant, it is over Father, mother, and children all gone Seven strong, but now none The wall is stained with the sins of men Red men and red wall

The Wall
I long for a time I did not live For a culture that was not mine The voices of the past live through me With books, poems, and in song How can I escape these modern binds In dress and in discourse I hold myself to their esteem The world has left me cold To live with this burden alone Everyone so modern and so gone To whom do I relate but those in wake But if I quit then they will be truly lost with time So, I must push and **** In their memory, I must carry on
