I miss my mom in the way she was when I was little.
I miss her putting my hair behind my ears,
rubbing my head while i lie on her chest.
Sitting in the bathroom with me as I throw up with the flu,
making me my favorite food when I couldn't stand anything else.
cleaning the mess I left when I couldn't do it myself.
I miss my mom, and not in the way that she's dead-
Or out of the picture. In the way that I'm not her little girl anymore.
And I don't know why me growing up hurts.

Supposed to be working on school 8-2.
I ended up on my phone scrolling through

of the things we used to do.
So instead of working on my assignment.
I'm thinking about how our bond went
our entwinement
turned to misalignment.
With my classes needing sketches drawn
and memories brought upon
I'm procrastinating on
the classes that make me yawn.
