I'm a young poet who finds her creativity in her sadness, pain, and personal experience. Writing has become an emotional outlet. For a long time I was scared to share my work with anyone, because of how personal my writing is. I've had multiple people tell me I should share it with the world so here you go! / Love Kasey Lane
Even as kings we rise to fall.
Every step we take closer to our destiny.
Lovers leave, wages are held,
To play this guessing game.
Even as kings we rise to fall
It's always been this way.
A questioned face staring back.
An open door lays before you.
How do we move forward?
A closed fist to fight the way.
Long live our kings!
May they forever fight the rise and fall,
Forever and again.

We're living to die
And dieing to live.
I hope you forgive
All those things that I did.
I'll look to the sky,
And I'm asking why
Do we get so focused on the questions,
That we look past the answers.
They gave you their confessions,
To lesson their sentence.
Digging through sorrows
Waiting for tomorrow's,
That will never be there.
So give him the care,
That he really needs.
It wasn't all there,
In the stems and seeds.
Let's learn and let grow,
Cuz we're letting go.

Your a dream. A mystery.
Will you be my personal
Nightmare?

My blood boils as you lie,
Through your teeth like a snake.
My friend you say?
**** you today!
I've given you trust and support,
And in return
Bad energy and a malice temper,
Couldn't mend it if I tried.
Your stubborn and mean
And I disagree.
If you needed space
You just had to ask
Now were both sitting here behind our masks.

Heart shaped tears
Fall from pain filled eyes.
This pain I feel is way too real,
A sharp throbbing in my chest
The pit of emptiness never seems to rest.
Your back again and it's confusing.
Your one sick twist of my delusion.
You came for the night,
Then once again your out of sight.

Walking thru an endless night, the trees are spinning bright.
The cracks in the sidewalk spell your name,
and then I realize nothing will ever be the same.
Now comes the begining light, holding onto your morality tight,
Through the constant struggle of this new begining.
Fighting, loosing, winning.
Mid day hits you hard and fast,
That warm tingling feeling you liked didn't last.
You look up to the sky,
The sun burns your eyes.
Your standing there feeling broken.
Praying so hard for one little token,
Of peace if mind.... security, hope
Only left to sit here trying to cope.

Tears pooling in her eyes
Slowly, steady, realize.
Pull back to the beginning
Shamelessly pretending that your winning.
The hollow feeling in your chest,
How you pray for it to rest.
Hold your head above the shame,
Pull yourself together and play the game.

Buried in your sorrows,
Not a day without tomorrow's.
Your windowed pain
Spider cracks in the rain.
The hopes and dreams,
Sinking in empty screens.
But not a second floats by,
That you don't remember how you'll die.
In this world,
money equals fate,
Be careful not to procreate.
Promises of false securities,
Foolish plans and possibilities.
Standing here on your own
Listening to busy signal on the phone.
Pain builds up in your head.
Soon your screaming.
Could it be easier if you're dead?
Your calling out for some notion,
Just a tiny speck of emotion....
Silence fills the room.
Your on your own and it feels too soon.
Now it's time to leave the lagoon.
Let go of your rock and drift away
The ocean will bring you back another day.

The leaves we're burning bright
Like thunder.
Open the belly of the beast,
From under her patient paws
Uncertain
Lost in a thought,
Lost in motion.
To speak out sound
That's left unspoken.
I found a light
To keep me grounded.
Forever keeping me safe,
Sure, and certain
For there was a tinge of a
man uncertain
Lost and confused
And easily amused
By preying
On those who are weaker.
He knocked on our door,
We invited him in with kindness
He saw nothing,
but hates blindness.
I felt you sneaking,
Tweaking in.
No longer I call you friend.

She's a monster through and through,
She bare ****** and true.
She will think of him
Day and night,
Her Boogie Man isn't here tonight.
She calls for him helplessly,
Searching desperately.
He is gone,
Off in the distance.
Dare she speak what she has to say?
No, no he might run away.
Slowly she resides alone to her den.
Dreaming of her Boogie Man,
"Maybe one day he'll eat me up, and
He'll come outside just to play"
But I am the monster for today
And won't my Boogie Man come and stay?
