You know some people believe in soul mates
But I was never one of those people
Until I knew him
He's almost perfect
It's like God had me in mind
When he was created
He knew when to put him in my life
At the time when I needed someone like him
To talk to
To make me smile
To make my heart stop yet beat a million times a minute
I kept asking myself if it's real life
It almost feels like a dream
I'm happy yet scared
Because he seems to good to be true
The situation seems to good to be true

The rain that was falling
Can't be heard anymore
The drops rolling down the car window paused
In that moment is just felt like
Only the two of you were the only people in the world
Time felt like it literally stopped
You felt safe, calm, happy, excited, a bundle of emotions
Your heart stopped beating yet it was all you could hear
You couldn't breathe but wished for this moment to never end
They pulled away and you were still trapped this haze
Only when you opened your eyes
The world continued
You heard the rain hitting against the car
And you guessed the drops continued rolling
Because you never took your eyes off the person
That just stopped your world but guess what

Ready to take on the day
With the mindset that today is the day
Everything will change

Spirited
A spring in your step
But guess what
Somewhere deep in your mind
You know it isn't going to last
And you're right
Something happens that just takes all that spirit away
You're back to your usual self
The down sad one
What do you do
Allow that mishap take you back
Or do you learn from it and continue
I know it's easier said than done
But for ourselves we gotta move on
We can't let these little bumps keep us down
We get back up and keep going
Even if you don't feel like it
And you rather just stay hidden
But no, let's move on and get better

And it's all your fault
You've driven away the rock you stand on that keeps your feet from touching the lava
What to do when it's gone
The only strength that was keeping you up
Your strength came in the form of a person
You loved that person and wanted to give them nothing but the best
But you only gave them the worse
So what do you do when they leave
Cry your eyes out because they're gone
And they're probably not going to come back because you pushed them away with your negativity
How to be strong from now on I don't know

Because forgotting memories isn't easy
Especially the good ones that just leaves your heart broken
Or you just wish you could leave this life behind and start over
But life isn't that easy
And life isn't that fair
