When the sun sets
I think back
To all that we once had
When life was pink, orange and red
To the time when everything was perfect
But you left
And the sun set
Leaving everything a dark black

I walk home
a lonely figure in the street
left foot forward, right foot forward
and repeat.
The pale city lights stream down
basking everything in white light
I can picture their frowns
as they scream and shout
How their piercing voices reverberates through the room
as I toss and turn in bed
when the nightmares start to bloom
threatening to shred
me.
So no matter how hard I try
I can't fall asleep
because what awaits me is not blue sky
but instead hell so deep
you can't imagine.
So now I'm walking home
hoping that finally my parents will stop quarreling
that instead they will come
and kiss away the monsters
read me bedtime stories with happy ever afters
so the dark marks of the curse will be gone
but that's impossible
It's a dream after all.

Forever
That’s all I ever wanted
Together
With you
But we were too young, too foolish
To believe that everything we wish
Would come true
But
They
Don’t
Time will never wait for us
Just like the back of that old school bus
All it ever does is pass us by
Even if we did stay together
Even though we do love each other
Time will always slip out of our hands
Just like
Sand
So maybe it’s better
To turn and walk away
Maybe one day we’ll have forever
And you’re really here to stay

We’re a galaxy
Filled with stars
A real life fantasy
That’s what we are
Cosmos, planets, shooting stars
A beautiful world made just for us
Look deep within and you will see
There’s so much more in you and me
I’m your midnight and you’re my aurora
I’m the sea and you’re my coral
We’ll sail across the galaxy
And I’ll pick out the stars just for you
We’ll colour out the sunset
Make it a lovely pink hue
I’ll write your name in the sky
And we’ll bid the end goodbye.
Maybe together,
we’ll finally have forever

Let’s go to a place
Where we can hear the sharp ticking of the clock
Where we all know what’s happening
But no one wants to talk
As we stare at each other silently
Knowing what’s about to come
Until finally
Those words spill out of your mouth
‘I have something to tell you’
Strange, how can two sentences
Be so same yet so different
Once filled with sweet promises
Now all it contains are bitter endings
For we all know the time for us to say goodbye is long overdue
Fighting without any reason
Shouting cause no one wants to listen
The laughter has now turn to
silence
We both know we’re driving without a license
And the car’s about to crash
But still we sit side by side
Holding on to hope that it’s not goodbye
Until
Even that tiny hope has died
