24/M Thank you to everyone who has read my poetry. I post when I want or need to share never expecting a response but every like or love has put a smile on my face. Love you guys, thanks.
Clocks sound like ticks of a bomb And I clench in moments of calm Wanting to hold the present so tight Refusing to look ahead is a loosing fight My emotions a mess and stomach twisted But tracks are set and it wont be shifted I scratch, bruise, and wound myself Despised with my own boundless wealth Family, friends, work and good health But I never earned this spot on the shelf So I do what I can, which is weep For those already put to sleep I hide my tears and say its fine As I watch your health decline I wish I could stop everything, freeze time Give you your dreams in place of mine But what is it worth this life I tide If its ends up without you by my side Is it wrong to mourn a loss not yet stolen After happy moments to find myself sullen A goodbye before we part Before I live with a broken heart

Bitter Sweet
“Tand, Tand ist das Gebilde von Menschenhand” Yet why don’t we treat Nature so fond? “Zweck sein selbst ist jegliches Tier” Yet why cast aside these lessons we hear? Words all said so long ago Yet their meaning we don’t seem to know How long will we shun humility, treat others and nature as it should be

Reflect on Literatures Pond
Such things swirl in his mind Yet, the poet sheathes his pen Looking outward he shall find Some words are best left within A heart of ice and eyes of glass Offers no forgiveness, but this too shall pass

Unlovely Words
To him they tried to speak, But he was far away Another day, another week A life time it will stay He shall find no quarter, no peace A life with no real bond He dreams of that barter, a breeze Then rest on crimson pond

A Done Deal
(Verse 1) Thirsty, yet turn from the well Tired, yet further I dwell Hoping that I will collapse Praying that something snaps I feel your presence, it follows behind me… I feel your light, it cast the shadows I see But aren’t we the depiction Of a cruel contradiction Who am i (Bridge 1) Who am I that I may call to you Who am I that I may fall to you Who am I to be someone you love? Who are we, For what we have done Who are we, For what we have become Who are we to be those whom you love? (Pre-Chorus) only 2nd time I am weary, I am dreary but I feel you, still hear me (Chorus) We are yours, I am yours. But we hate, steal, **** We betray your will Who are we, who am I I am….. yours (Verse 2) Thirsty, yet your well remain Tired, yet you chase again Hoping that I will bend Praying that my-heart mends I feel your presence, it follows beside me… I feel your light, it clears the shadows I see But aren’t we the depiction Of a cruel contradiction Wonder now (Bridge 2) Do you love me, like I hate myself? Do you free me, like I build my cell? Are you certain as we are unsure? Can it be, that you’d forgive the sin? Can it be, that you’d call-us your kin? Are you proud as I am ashamed? (To pre chorus for 2nd time and end)

Contradiction
Using that palette How did you use this to write? They all look so gray…

Hm... younger me
Boy in the still pond He looks at me with those eyes And knows… we are alone

Only He Understands
I had that nightmare again... I remember your eyes That choice I was forced to make who lives... who dies Never forgive me, gentle stranger... for what you endured Taking the fall, so that all life that night was secured The fate I forced and will always regret my karma chasing me in dreams I can't forget That look you gave me shook me to the bone Those eyes of pity for whom I could never atone

Her Pain or His Life
Theres a place at the edge of the sea Drawing you in while your woes flee The people are warm and gentle as tea Where drifters are welcome, yet leave you be And smiling bright a mayor… or maybe three I find the more the merrier in this family

Kove Town
Oh thirsty boy… Thrown himself in the well Learned how to drink Until his belly would swell Oh thirsty boy… At the the bottom he stands greedy for more Scarring his hands Oh thirsty boy… Does not try to climb Rather dig through the mud Seeking water in the grime
