In the orange glow of the street lights through the curtains, Your face loses its peachy cream and cradles stark white in my hand. Eyes softly closed, long lashes curled like a girl's. Mouth working furiously, taking the nourishment needed regularly and randomly throughout the night. Your lower arm around my waist is the sweet touch that makes me cry. Small hand kneading in time. That old song stuck in my head, Forgotten lyrics changed to fit my mood. The love, the exhaustion, the peace, this satisfaction, As we rock back and forth in the small hours.

Small Hours
In his eyes speak their truth, In her lips feel their love, In his ears sense their trust, In her hand taste their union, In his mind hear their faith In her heart know their rhythm.

Gird up your ***** is her battle cry, Met with whispers, giggles, winks and blushes. The chorus of old men proclaim: hysteria! But this *** is mightier than the sword!

Lysistrata
Fair maiden, closed eyes cast towards the sun, Drops the hand and falls the ring. Seal from families no longer joined. Cloak at her feet, at cliff top poised, Eyes still skyward, breath held for eternity.

Fair Maiden
The omens warned of encroaching ****** Their maurauding chant heard above the waves. Escape by causeway covered over, My robes held high against the tide. Clasped word of God on vellum by reed, Illumination of the holy way. Veneration by priests and singers, As Norsemen trampled the bodies of saints.
