You can't expect
that taking away one part of yourself
will not affect
the rest of you.
Who you are
will change.
Some parts will be better.
Some worse.
There is a cost to recovery,
also new discoveries.

Sometimes I forget
to love myself
even though I do...

I wish I saw from you.
I try to remember that
just because I don't see it,
doesn't mean it's not there.

We move to big houses
And fill them with stuff
Never thinking
Enough is enough
The same can be said
Of our goals in life
Work till you're dead
Or perish in strife
How do we know
That we've reached our end
A sign or a signal
Or forever to mend
The peak of our life
Can never be known
Until it's reviewed
