Violence all around us
Nothing but the hatred of others surround us.
The cruelty of everything is unfair
Suffering doesn't stop, neither here or there.
Generations ignoring the problems until they bubble up
Leaving everything up to us.
Kids protest and go against the authorities.
People continuing to target minorities.
Wars going on around the world
Our voices seem to never be heard
Doing our part to save the earth and it's climate,
as billionaires laugh and fly behind us.
They tell us we need to work harder.
But the opportunities that they had are farther.
Trying hard with everything out of our reach
Trying to tell ourselves everything will come true as we preach.
Time and time going over again
We the people continue to shout for a better government.
With our stresses and concerns thrown aside
Our generation is stuck as we try.
We come together fighting for what is right.
Even though we are still children in their eye.
The cruelty of this world is unmatched
As our generation of kids try to get everything patched.

I remember how you cast me away
Telling me how I can't stay.
You spread lies to others painting yourself as a victim.
Saying you were wronged by the system.
You act clueless and try to plead your case
I hate the ignorance and smug look on your face.
You never once tried to contact and reach out.
Yet you tell your story to anyone with the slightest look as if they wanted to hear about.
You can't come to terms with your own choices.
You refused to believe the desperate pleas in both of your children's voices.
You were no mother you were a thief only caring about your own needs.
You took things you didn't own let alone deserve. You popped them like they were dessert.
You sat and watched everything that went on.
You were no mother.
You were and still are a fraud.

The love I feel when I think of you at every meal
The pound in my chest, causing me to second guess.
Your beauty is unmatched even to that of a dove.
For you, I want to give all of my love.
I want to hold your hand to the very end.
I want to be with you through every demand.
Your curly hair that compliments your face
with your sparkling eyes that put me in a daze.
I wish to show you my love in many ways.
I wish our relationship could stay the same.

Time and time again in life
I feel as if the pan and I have intertwine.
Hope passing by like a fleeting ship
Anger continues to flux and dip
Seeing the pain eye to eye
watching as time slowly passes by
a paperclip necklace laying on my chest
The young years are as best as they get.
Watching the world full of violence.
Being left to cry in complete silence
yet with them I feel complete
their love runs through my veins
and it runs deep.
Knowing we don't have to suffer in pain
With our hands together
with you I swear
I shall never leave
And together we shall mend all of the wounds that bleed.
