catch a feather predict the weather at least that's what my mama said so I put to bed my doubts and I told the birds my troubles instead

I remember
I stand there teeth rattling, head chattering watching the world slide not so gently from a place I didn't know to a clear ---- hi. how are you. doin fine. the sky's awfully blue

feathers floating in the breeze softly touch across my face tendrils extending gently leaving paths I can't erase I ask them please just leave me be or only stay a time but then they rest upon my chest I feel their weight inside
