In time of darkness
A soft wispher
I hear the Word: Let it Be, Let it Be.

In hour of darkness
Your faithless prayers are heard
In dead Silence
"Let it be, let it be"

In days of darkness
We see fearful people
Rushing around
In fruitless actions
Instead, "Let it be, let it be"
2020 Covid19 pandemic.

The strength of people's voice, loud and clear
Can any elected representatives speak
As loudly, as clearly as the people?

True courage and democratic freedom
When people gather and march unconfined
Not cowering in their corner
Only to hear their pitiful squeaks

If it must rain, let it not drizzle disappointingly
Let the trumpet sound from the hills
Not under your bed, but let the light of freedom
Blaze fiercely
Reference to Hong Kong march against controversial legislation.

Bulbul's early mornings
Her rich, throaty songs
Welcome another day
Not far away she and I find happiness

Pensive moments
Aglow with mellow candlelight
Counting rain drops

Soft scents of new frangipanis
Waft gently over evening sprinkles
Tasting sweet orange Kumquats
Under green canvas umbrella

Waves, waves
White sand churning
Racing along the shores

Clear water
Fishes darting
Swimming in the sea

A visitor
Alone fishing
Standing on corals

While I sip coconut
In shade
Reading philosophy

Good morning from Chumphon, Thailand

I awake with happy birds
and country roosters' crow
lazy and slow

I pity busy morning
filled with noisy cars
rushing downtown
anxious and hurried with cares
