Sean Brown "this unquenchable thirst"

these eyes, these ears, this tongue, this nose, this skin
all touch the rest of the universe
a yolk slips between a slide
these eyes touch the light of the stars
these ears note the vibrations of space
this tongue tastes all that sustains me
this nose touches the scent of the past
this ancient light
this endless song
this unquenchable thirst
this countless breath
this vast shell around me
my senses are touch
an amoeba, a single sense
crossing the lense
a brain trying to categorize
the stillness

Scipio Africanus "iving curse, whats bottles up by living thirst, awakening face down in a black-bellied"

Yellow-tinted-noxious-lung-warf-stunk-salty-oysters-stolen-rotten.
Where am I? but the driftwood castle promenade, fish market gardens.
Congo jungle, steam ship sunken in crying river, village elder persists at warning.
Hear the fiddle burning, drug sullen quarter note steadily, it's veracious creak reverberates through me, the loveliness reveals me, and yet I cannot behold the.
Negligent narcissus subdue me, hurry up and screw me.
Here is the birthplace of living curse, whats bottles up by living thirst, awakening face down in a black-bellied hearse.
Driven hard line through desert ambit , throttle locked at 85, no control, levers, nobs, or nodes.
Half a Cuban snuffed out poorly, sleeping in gaping jowls, I could not believe this thing even had an ash tray.
Death had bailed and locked the doors, filled the tank, and whipped the devils horse.
I worn the blinders and found my pockets stuffed with carrots and a lighter.
Then i smoked what was left without protest, I was not about to ask what came next.

laney "To quench the thirst"

What good is a seed?
If not planted in fertile soil?
With no days of rain?
To quench the thirst
With no days of sun?
To quench the thirst

What good is a seed?
When sowed in the fabric of other seeds
Where the soil is not fertile
Where there are no days of rain
Still thirsty
With no days of sun
Still thirsty

What good is a seed?
When it cannot grow?

constante quirino "know what it is to thirst for nothing to surround you."

charge at my viscera.
take tender care to not tip our boat,
for we will not fall,
but glide, listlessly into sea.

know what it is to thirst for nothing to surround you.
to rise and fall,
aether-bouyant through axes unknown.
which direction does your spinal fluid flow?
you’ll be uncertain.
only i know.
and i won’t tell you.

you don’t have to.

The Whisper "The lives that we thirst for amidst all the pain."

Few are quite willing to go off and fight,
The sadistic and evil, in the name of what's right.

But all of us struggle as we try to attain,
The lives that we thirst for amidst all the pain.

We live with decisions that often defy,
Our own moral codes on how to get by.
We search for so long, for what makes us strong,
for what makes us weak,  and where we belong.

And just when we think that we've gone through it all,
That we've gained all the knowledge of what might befall,
Reality and Life return to their place,
Keeping us guessing and changing their pace.

Ours mind and emotions like to play games,
and we search for our scapegoats in place of our blames.
With this, come frustrations that continue to grow,
Disrupting life's peace and life's even flow.

The scars from these battles are not easily shown.
Hidden as secrets; remaining unknown.

The battle within is the struggle of one.
In place of the many; in place of the gun.

Jonathan D Maraccini "I quench my angry thirst"

by Jonathan D Maraccini
When I was young I had a dream
It was the day I turned 14
I was a king who married a queen underneath a beautiful cedar tree
In this dream we had a beautiful baby then we lived happily ever after
What a perfect ending, everything was perfect it seemed
Then tragedy struck without warning
In this dream
I lost my home, my wife, my child
In this dream
I lost my wonderful family
With tears of sorrow I screamed underneath the cedar tree
Then I fell to the ground and said some horrible things in the darkness
But it was all just a dream I remind you
At least that is what I was told that night
The day I turned 14

They say
Dreams are not real in the world we live in
They say
Angels are fiction outside of religion
They say
A sinner is condemned unless forgiven
I say
Dream of angels who forgive our sins

I am not a little boy any longer
I grew up and became a man
Then I met a beautiful women
How she made me happy then
So we married and had a daughter
The happiest day of my life
Was the day I became a father
A bond had formed as I watched her eyes
I held her close to keep her warm
I knew I would never leave her
Life was a perfect delight
Or so I thought, or so I thought

In the end
We leave our mark
In the end someones the victim
A fool from the very start
Like lambs for the slaughter
As the truth is hidden

They say
Dreams are not real in the world we live in
They say
Angels are fiction outside of religion
They say
A sinner is condemned unless forgiven
I say
Dream of angels who forgive our sins

Sitting on a bench in a redwood forest
I heard a bird sing a glorious song
This was not my imagination
So I began to sing along
Next to me a girl with black hair
We laughed together
We walked together
Love of the forest we both shared
Her eyes were black, her hair was long
Such a spectacle
Nothing on earth could ever go wrong
Or so I hoped, or so I hoped

Knock on wood
For I was blind
Evil was there the entire time
Sitting underneath a cedar tree
Whistling a haunting song

They say
Dreams are not real in the world we live in
They say
Angels are fiction outside of religion
They say
A sinner is condemned unless forgiven
I say
Dream of angels who forgive our sins

Eventually she left me
She left me on Christmas Eve
She took my daughter
She took the angel from me
She ran away
She spread her wings of deceit
She lied to everybody
But first she lied to me
Maybe she was the one whistling
Underneath the cedar tree
Underneath the cedar tree
Where evil withered the leaves

So now I hate her
The destroyer of beautiful dreams
The filthy liar
The wrecker of families
As I wither away behind her
I’m left with only my words
With the cedar tree on fire
I quench my angry thirst
And my pain becomes a curse

I do not care who see's these words
My anger festers for all
Two faced liars in a family herd
So stand in line as I fall
It is what it is
When it is understood
It is all it has been
For the bad and the good
As I hang on this cross
As I hang underneath the cedar tree
Crucified to this wood

SydneyVictoria "Quenching The World's Thirst"

The Rain Streaked Window,
Is Chilled From The Damp Spring Air,
The World Outside--Grey

                        The Pavement Is Soaked,
Blackened It Smells Of The Rain,
                  The Leaves Had Turned Green

                                                   Flowers Sip Cautious,
                                   Drinking The Water Of Spring,
                                    Quenching The World's Thirst

Spring Is Both Blue And Grey.. Both Provide Beautiful Days:)
Holly Salvatore "And the thirst"

Even in the city
The canine activity
Keeps me up at night
These are like Julliard-trained dogs
Singing in 4 parts
But they'll never beat the coyotes
The rawness
The reality of 3 days and nights
An empty belly ignites
A passion for fresh meat
That these pooches can't imagine
I know what it's like to be hungry
I know what it's like to want something
I know what it's like to miss the taste of salt on your lips
And the sting of sweating
Out those hunger trips
I know what it's like to hurt
In the dirt
In the steam
And the thirst
And the hallucinations start
And coyote says
Hey honey
You come here often?
Let me show you how the world works
Let me show you
The rest of the world hurts too
Hey honey Jesus loves you
The rest of the world sweats too
You know that suffering is
Nothing new
It's what we do
And what we turn hurt into
It's the hope springs
Eternal
It's the good times around the corner
It's you
And coyote says
I'm gonna show you
How to trick the hurt
I'm gonna teach you
How to be raw
Honest
And the dogs are still barking in 4 part harmony
I'm out of the sweat lodge
Rolling in bed
There's a dream I can't
Quite catch
On the tip of my tongue
And it slips away
Blends into those Julliard-trained dogs
Barking a little more like
Howling now
Again with feeling now
The world is raw
And reeling now
Sweat it out
In 4 part harmony

Coyote is my spirit animal.... Or something. I woke up at 2 AM and this poured out before I could go back to sleep. It might not make any sense, but I think it is supposed to be spoken word anyway. Let me know if you like it or if it does make sense. Thanks
Tyler "ight I even abstained from quenching my thirst"

The morning exploded in a vast array of color and light
And the screams of geese shitting on the walkway to my apartment
I got a full nights sleep and
Last night I even abstained from quenching my thirst
Yet I still awoke with my senses beating me
Half to death

Trader Tim "These neon nights never seem to dull, a thirst for excitement at an endless beggar's b"

So calm the city night that quickens the heart of stone
An awakening of immoral desires the day will not condone
I seek thee now oh burn of lust such thrills demand control
I catch and taste my delicatessens upon these streets of gold
Passion toward thy beautiful ones, the sculpture of such healthy bones
A large array of breeds to choose from with skins of many shades, textures and tones
These neon nights never seem to dull, a thirst for excitement at an endless beggar's ball
The power of magic, the star-struck eyes, the crystal moon so high in the sky
The illustrious fashions of the filthy rich, the seductive lure of the promiscuously charmed witch
Such smells and sights has only the night, as I turn to the shadows and take to flight
Here I am sacred, here I am whole, the night sets the stage for my finest role ...

Can anyone relate? I get hungry just imagining. Or perhaps I lie... Hmmm who really knows?
