Marshal Gebbie "(Where dinosaur now roam the shores),"

Vaulting canyons soar on high
Shadows vast in orange sun,
Expedition treads the stones
Of exploration Mars begun.
Shifting sands in freezing breeze
Desolation’s red extreme,
Lifeless in the breathless air
As yet, no living thing be seen.

But soon…
Found beneath the rust red plain
Of ancient planet Mars afar,
The relics of an ancient tribe
Of humanoids who fled the star.
Humanoids so far advanced,
Far beyond our knowledge bounds,
Far beyond our comprehension’s
Grasp of that which now, confounds.

Far advanced but still despaired,
Despite the organisational skill,
Destroyed the lakes and seas of Mars
With need and greed and get and kill.
Destroyed the soft green slopes of grass,
Destroyed the gentle surge of surf,
Destroyed tomorrow’s promised day
With need and greed, for what they’re worth.

Buried deep within the sands
Soaring spires of cities great,
Skeletons of millions caught
By greed’s black devastation’s hate.
Greed’s black hand which gambled all
On fate’s capitulated stand,
To smite the delicacy of
This planets eco-balanced land.

Mars collapsed with quick accord
The atmosphere constricted, cold.
Vegetation died en masse
Population withered old.
A frantic few survived to flee
With silver ark to virgin Earth,
(Where dinosaur now roam the shores),
To resurrect a new rebirth.

A new rebirth in promised land
Where old mistakes should not be made,
Where simple rules shall stay the hand
Of they who walk in light and shade.
A new rebirth on planet Earth
Will guarantee a life of gold
To future generation’s child
Who shall, (we promise), grow, safe, old.

Alas- a promise poorly met
A stipulation we decree,
We who stand at ruin's gate
And planetry destruction see.
We, the children's children's child
Who stand in rust red, windblown sand,
Who look towards our distant Earth
Now do declare your promise damned .

Derek Scott Darling "Where cattle roam and pray"

Sputtering liquid fireworks
A clockworks of molten movements
A passageway to core elements
The raw materials of our days
Spinning in cyclone certainty
The birthplace of our mass
The life within these earthen walls
Embers of all days gone past
The cool graveled exterior
The spice rubbed outer crust
Minor monuments to grain
Where cattle roam and pray
We quietly mark out each day
With the certainties of solid ground
As our core spins wild and hot
Beneath our common coat.

darling "the voices enter her mind and begin to roam"

self loathing
sleepless nights
slowly decomposing
a cigarette ignites

tossing and turning
restless dreams
hearts yearning
splitting at the seams

happiness wasn't her only loss
metal pressed against pale skin
glides smoothly across
lets nightmares begin

and now she is left
entirely alone
and the voices enter her mind and begin to roam
and  moan, and groan

Laetitia "The sober ones roam the rooms, drifting haphazardly about"

Been dazed and confused for so long it's not true
There were kids
Sitting in the soft night's semicircle
Encased in a haze of smoke
The darkness enfolding them in a cloak
Of all mysterious things nocturnal
Making it all eternal
A superficial feeling of found truth
A white aura of blazing youth
Conquering the darkness with the fiery tips of lit joints
Puffing chimeras and golden illusions
Things left unsaid yet lead not to confusion
The substance and the glowing friends
Seems to fix everything and make ineffable amends
Lends them some heightened receptivity
With some dazzling sensitivity
To the dizzy promises of life
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you
There was blue bottles and red cups
Sloshing full of 21st century ambrosia
Every moment of the night
Is doused in glowing star-light
Different rooms, dark places
Different shadows, similar faces
Lots of people talk and few of them know
There was music softly ebbing and weaving its way to us
Soul of a woman was created below
Gleaming sequined pillows
Curtains ebbing in delicate billows
That no amount of reality could ever harden
In the black garden
Amidst the tangy, acrid scent
Boys and girls came and went
Among the soughs and the vodka and the gleaming stars
We are young; vodka replaces wine, blunts replace cigars
You hurt and abuse tellin' all of your lies
An adagio of whispers travels with a florid vibration
Waves of words, swirls of conversation
High kids trying to touch
What has never been tangible
Run around sweet baby, Lord how they hypnotize
These kids linger on towering stools and lush couches
Leaning back with careless slouches
Or wander back and forth
Breathing dreams like air
Sweet little baby, I don't know where you've been
An elusive rhythm throbs in the humid atmosphere
Fragments of lost words hover on drunken lips
A stirring warmth flows
From bodies spilled together
Snuggled under a blanket of stars
Gonna love you baby, here I come again
Hands take hold of hands
And fingers tightly interlace
Throbbing softly with fluctuating warmth
The room is electric, filled with tiny flowing currents
Try to love you baby, but you push me away
In this wake of boozed up elations
All sorrows are aborted, all conscience is obliterated
Blitzed kisses are exchanged, transitory enchanted moments
Bemused nudges and tender embraces
Arms around shoulders, heads resting drowsily
All of this immediate and forever
Don't know where you're goin', only know just where you've been
And the tipsy, blissfully mindless joy of youth
Gives them bleary yet satisfactory hints of the unreality of reality
Sweet little baby, I want you again
The teens are flickering in and out of consciousness like befuddled fireflies
The sober ones roam the rooms, drifting haphazardly about
Simultaneously enchanted, bewildered, and repelled
By the seemingly inexhaustible variety of drunken fun,
The racy, adventurous mood of the night
Been dazed and confused for so long, it's not true
We are all so young
So young and dipped in the dust of folly
And our laughs contain a hint of melancholy
The magic of nights like these,
When the spell of mortality is broken,
Eludes us all,
Yet we cling to them
Like moths to a flame.
Nights like these dig deep in the stuff of the soul
But there is still much to be learned

lol how to make a drunken high school party sound enchanted and mystic
lina S "Roam the world"

Emptiness got me thinking about you
Escaping my troubles by thinking about you
Tiny fables of your face in my memory
how could it make me this happy
Let me be happy
Erase what exists
Make whatever we want
Whatever we miss
Let's dance till we kiss
Roam the world
explore that and this
Flee my soul
Flee my mind
Go to where ever there's no time
make it okay for us to stay
Looking at each other
Like friends or like lovers
like there's no others
No one to bother
Let's be birds or lovers
Love one another
Color the sky
Color the moon
Color me With all the colors of you
With your scent
With your smile
Color me color my mind
let's laugh the night away
Laugh till you feel the freckles
Feel it tickles going up to the heart
Let's Never stay apart
So Color me
Color me your Misses

Pen Lux "roam the streets without the tease of winter"

summers seduction returns
with burning rays of light.
I find my resonance with night
has been reawakened as I can
roam the streets without the tease of winters chill.

my bike and I have had somewhat of a falling out
yet I feel the urge to grip the bars
and pedal until my breath beats
me for the lack of it, and my legs
turn to jelly from the unfamiliarity.

Richard D Remler "Where hearts in melancholy roam."

..............................................................................
If I should, by chance, be called home today,
Please do not mourn my memory.
Find peace within the gentle way
The breeze makes waves upon the sea.
Breathe in the beauty of the sky,
And share the joy within your heart.
Please do not mourn and do not cry,
If suddenly I should depart.

If, by chance, I am called home,
Please do not, in sadness, mull
Where hearts in melancholy roam.
But rather, let your days be full
Of those treasures one cannot replace
Such as family, friends, home, and heart,
Of life and love, and natures grace,
If suddenly I should depart.

Derek Scott Darling "We roam in burning eventide"

Prattled pomp and circumstance
Are smeared along the way
We fear cover and the dance
Yet breathe on still anyway.
And why be humble, be boring still
There's a diamond in the hoe
Drag our hearts to empty thrills
Till the depths freeze under snow
Break my stride, bust my hide
Whip my lowly brow in red
My soles and heels are bona fide
Crusted with curried tread
This soil is dusk and air the light
We roam in burning eventide
Measured versus what is right
Against universal suicide.

Folorunsho Obalugemo "Let not my faith in Christ roam"

In some destiny vessel sails.
Bound on a mission success to see:--
Ignore prejudice and travesty
Of critics' judgments, whether it fails
Or nay. Though my ship should wreck,
Let not my faith in Christ roam
Aimlessly on the high sea of tempestuous
Life; for I, like Paul, must get to Rome.

Jack Straw "Where the Buffalo Roam."

the want
the wait
the wish.

False Hope.
the cornerstone of coming to terms
with this town and this town.
with life in this town.

You have no idea.
