Let me declare in the opening of this article that I am a young man aged almost 23 years but have never had sex as a personal choice based upon my experience. My reasons for not getting laid till now are not many but just three reasons:
1. I am a guy who is a one woman man.
2. I believe that whatever may be my future wife's virginity status, I am not to loose it to anyone else but to herself.
3. I have analysed and found that for Indian men the best age to loose their virginity is not before 25 years of age and similarly for Indian women, the best age to loose it is not before they themselves are at least 23 years of age.
You all might already have labeled me various titles till now, but wait let me tell you the whole story and I would rather recommend you to be ready for trashing all your presumptions. It's all about self-control that this article is about. You can easily relax and lie back as you are going through my article.
I have a female friend from a big city in India who has been subjected to the raging problem of today's world. I'll be referring to her as Dhara, she was in the first year of her college life when she fell for a good looking rich guy and this guy, Sagar, was her classmate.
In the beginning of their relationship, they both were like the very much perfect 'made-for-each-other' couple like in stories. They both shared a golden relationship between each other and neither of them were aware that one day they will be made to separate away from each other.
The two of them seemed inseparable and one fine day Dhara even eloped with Sagar to start a new life with him. Sagar took her to a new home that he succeeded in procuring for them. It was a farmhouse away from the city. Dhara started following all the daily chores as an ideal housewife would. Both of them ceased attending the college and dedicated all their time to love making. Three months after having eloped, Dhara happily told Sagar that she was pregnant.
In the mean time, Sagar's father who is a powerful person in politics decided to make him marry a different girl for political benefits. And this way a problem arose from this fact that Sagar was told by his family that soon he would be married to a girl for political reasons. Along with this, both Sagar and his father were jailed in a political context. The trouble which had befallen was resolved by another powerful politician who bailed both the father-son duo out of the problem with a condition that Sagar married his daughter.
Sagar then told Dhara regarding the same problem at his home. Dhara straight away went to Sagar's home hoping to win hearts and showed them the Mangalsutram which Sagar had tied around her neck. The Mangalsutram turned out to be the same which Sagar's mother had found missing.
Dhara was accused of thievery and was put behind the bars for the same in the followup time. Sagar somehow succeeded in bailing Dhara out from behind the bars. Soon, Dhara was asked by Sagar to take some emergency contraceptive pills which halted her pregnancy in a period less than three months. Then Sagar ejected himself out from the unregistered marriage, resumed his regular college studies and ditched Dhara.
Here, both Dhara and Sagar were at fault according to me. Neither of them were at an age which could be considered marriageable, either medically or morally. Both had studies to undertake which they turned to for diverting their minds.
Dhara shared with her elder brother regarding the same event having taken place in her life. Then one fine day, I met Dhara at our University's Students Centre where I had been to the University Food Orbit - UFO, and I started conversation with a group sitting there and we both got to know about each other and exchanged numbers at her insistence.
So much experience had made Dhara a wisecrack when it came to making friends. She accepts that it was her mistake that she took a rush of hormones to be love.
In addition to this Indian viewpoint over the subject, a Western viewpoint needs to be mentioned separately because of the biological differences between our bodies' biological observations and our differently made up societal liabilities and settlements.
The West has a superior physique for both men and women and professional services. So the ideal age to loose it dips by 2 years.
To end with the article, I would like to summarise the best age and conditions of loosing virginity globally with a special localisation to India:
1. Get married firstly and then loose it only to your life partner.
2. If you must still have the pleasures of love making before your marriage with the person you have your first intercourse, keep it safe and pleasant. Use a condom or similar contraceptive if you must have sex before the ideal age but remember that these may fail as well, even if rarely.

What you read here is her hearts knowing and the undying love that it created and that continues.
His precious hands were removed from earthly things. A great and gentle man his greatest possessions his family. I only knew him from his business and the fact that one of his beautiful daughters married a classmate of mine. Then much later by error I made acquaintance with another of his daughters you can tell a lot about a person from the actions of his children. She told me that he passed away and that he was the light of her life. With God’s help I would like to pay tribute to him.
A light did shine it was magnified by the eyes of a daughters love. He took his journey he went above his ship was the care they shared he the captain made the course straight and true he didn’t slow her run until heaven was in plain view they would have cheered but it hard to see through eyes filled with tears. All the wonderful years seemed to be eclipsed by the sickness that came it seemed an angry wind from their lives this stalwart precious soul it did rend. It left the greatest empty hole it took the longest time to fill and then with the sweetest cooing the grand babies made the hole enlivened not the terrible twisted knot that had the family bound but without being able to speak a word grampaw was found. If you looked in their faces his smile is bound to bundles only heaven can design. I’m not saying they asked him how to work these miracles yet this is true he watched with intense interest and was happiest since his departure he knew that back through time and space healing was for all time secured. Their stoic acceptance could now be laid aside the family could run in softer climes know the sweetest of times that were thought to be forever gone.
Love spills down from heights distance is only on a map in peoples heart its no farther than the end of your finger tips. Images are so strong not because we have great minds it’s easy to make these rich finds when your love and its power shake the foundation of the universe is it not said that love is the greatest power. Oh how so many in dark shadows cower when they possess the power to ignite the world on fire. From heart to heart it does dart the wildness of the spirit is told blotting out all of the cold. Yes there is winter but also the spring. The light spoken of is no longer beholden to earth and so the family is free by love he joins his light to the Christ the all glowing light

To all who have lost heroes
This was written to Eva’s son Bill to help him at her passing. With this writing I took him back thirty years when he was in the truck wreck that killed his dad his recovery saved his mother I hoped by him being reminded of that now it would help him the same way.
Tribute to Eva Wafford Life force
For all who lost heroes
In your soul freshly the wind of death did blow.
Cold eerie shadows marched against your tender broken heart.
What defense could this onslaught repel agony’s volcanic flow.
Ominous well filled with grief from this weight no relief.
The child the grim reaper did spare.
Only after leaving the body bruised and in despair.
From this broken body drops of mercy started to make the mother well.
I held your trembling frame today this memory rings sweet as a bell.
Streets and houses without number fill the land.
I can’t help when I look to recall memories grand.
Now they are but dreams that ache in the night.
Images that over ride the present in their glory I take flight.
Brush aside caution raise your voice as a trumpet.
They live only in yesterdays even so indelibly they wrote their stories.
We hold our children we cling only a moment as mist on the summit.
Your life Eva continues to build the next generation.
Your voice is heard in the breath of your grandchildren.
Wonders they spin from golden thread, now that you have gone ahead.
Your spirit glows in the fire that warms the house against winter.
Summer’s cool breeze not sent by chance she doe’s tenderly incite.
Death silently said what I already knew.
To me you were always immortal you were bigger than life
Many were the days when the wind of storms blew
those who know us feel the calm; this is only your life on review
Old Abe said it right ‘It is right and fitting that we speak these words here to honor these lives so honorably lived. I can say that about Jim and this also he was a prince among men if I do this right the words will convince you.
He had a gentle way and nature he spoke softly but a softness that flowed to you like ribbons that bounced in a little girl’s hair how delightful. He should have been a doctor his hands his mannerism was ideal for that job. I guess thats what made him stand out so strongly like a gentle calm breeze if you came in a panic his soul would float down around you like a parachute first it safely brings you from great anxiety and exaltation to a graceful landing then gently envelops you in its silken embrace. I had this privilege of watching him inter act with his wife as I said and truly he was a prince and I was the beggar that benefitted richly from the sidelines God knew my needs.
He was called from this life but all the days he filled before his home going are the sustaining force noticeably seen felt with keen awareness you know that a gentleman passed this way. In the lives left behind there is a blend of sadness and astonishment you realize you are looking at the work of a master workman who left behind a tightly and perfectly fitted family this unfortunately is sadly rare in this society that boast of its accomplishments.
As a friend his breadth and depth was sufficient you weren’t a burden he had a way of dispelling trouble making you understand with wisdom and unerring judgment then with ease you could extricate yourself from the problem. His heavenly father filled him with tenderness it stood him and others well in a somewhat crabby world. If you’re pressed and anxious about life take from this life expressed. A portion of the good will you need use it as a defense Jim couldn’t be everywhere but God saw fit to make an original that you can duplicate benefit from and be a part of his ongoing legacy. Thanks friend for a life lived well
Well hurting one in the earlier part of a writing I said I am God’s battle field reporter and medic
These writings are my bandages and gauze God gave me great big hands and I fill them with
Salve with all the love I know I gently apply it to your broken hurting wounds mingle it with
Tears that are not always mine alone but His mixes with mine one day He will abolish all tears
Until then this is our duty your heart we hear and we can do no other God bless you Addy and
Your nephew and all others who find this helpful
Wonder for all the hurts
First I knelt just to see my reflection then the depths started to reveal first the flowing thoughts were
Restrained and then a bubbling seemed to dislodge from greater depths hard truths churned with
Violent twisting but the motion made it impossible to turn away there were great large white clouds
From depths then even above the pool they rose fourteen stories high the sensation was you were
Standing outside clear air intoxicating views the pulse of many were throbbing in your ears their
Thoughts and dreams were known and their sorrows were weights that pulled you from the heights
It was a colossal game of tag and you were it first reaction fear then the appearance of bundled gifts
Broke down the fear it was promise in different sizes that met the required needs it was like a divine
Warehouse had just made a delivery there were cards with names and writing gave clarification tears
And smiles intermingled then the outer knowing postulated the difficulty the puzzle an enormous
Streaming that was now congested and it was beginning a vortex all was understood now human thought
With doubts was pulling the answer into this destructive hole where was one to find the lever to stop
This action that would disallow was the answer to touch the water bring the finger to my lips possibly
A blazing thought would occur that would strike the mind no all that brought was words that had the
Letters jumbled they made no sense unless there is a special book that is alive in it the letters and words
Are already set but they cover every act in the human condition the broken can pour over the pages
You won’t find thorns to repel your efforts there are thorns but they will speak and assuage your hurts
At the most basic and needed levels the points of your hurts will begin to dissolve from your eyes to
Your mind this inward rush and power will dislodge even spears driven deep by enemies carried for
Years you searched in vain over sad and lonely paths and days now you journey is at an end thorns of
Suffering for another produces profound power and mercy go in peace beloved one another bears your
Burden now maybe words cut you at depths you can’t even identify what if there is an antidote in a
Book you pick it up with trembling hands your body tingles from the knowledge that this is ancient texts
It will have a revival of appreciation in this world of texting but with gentle fingers and eyes that glow
With respect as you see the wisdom and the love cannot be denied you leave the world you know and
With total abandonment you swim in this sea of words until the your tears spill on this rich world of
Words those cruel barbed words that pierced tender skin and have bled internally all of these years
Begin to dissolve with stories and accounts of betrayals then the swells love and mercy you read about
Restoration not always found after apologies are given but the teaching of forgiveness strikes a cord
You have been made free from your prison the tangles of life are great as a great black cloud it hangs
Over head many are its troubles this isn’t mild but the disruptive made to strike and pierce deep the
Hidden that steals the morning blessing while other feast your hunger and unrest only enlarges a
Tormenting unquenchable fire a slow burn this is a forest being burned at the thermal level the hidden
Roots a slow process destructive but not so visible agony torture I have seen men crawl in war or fire
Fighting that where all else is lost you will know greater thrills than any other living soul with the
Desperate and those heavy burdened unable to stand a word will flow it puts out fires and gives
The luxurious buoyancy heaviness changed to joy the bouncy laughter every outward blast attack
The enemy launches is within its pages they are repelled overwhelmed by love you suffer unduly
If you don’t hold this fortress this informative book of stratagems that have made everyone a victor
Who has ever found themselves at their wits end no place on earth has a contingency plan though it
Will make the greatest claims all is just empty air when life as it too often does sucks the very air of life
Out we practically are unconscious but this help this rescue is activated by one name it’s not just a book
But the word is a person what a pool you will find what a reflection will engage you beyond your hope
To imagine just say Jesus all will be total peace your heart will know no more sorrow peace will surpass
Sorrow love will disallow the specter that was once a constant it will disappear it will return to the
Darkness from which it came stand in this newness totally free abide by still waters as the good
Sheppard stands by bless you
This land void of devotion gone is the church steeples.
Replaced by voices and shadows of drug dealers on each corner.
Now they are the keepers, lost cities, death stalks its peoples.
Nothing is sacred in this polluted and diffused land.
No longer hallowed be thy name, it’s as if he never came.
Forgotten is any standard of moral excellence.
The once high ideals only represent a fool’s parlance.
Man declares I throw off these restraints only to find darker chains.
The book that once guided this great land.
We now betray with each waking day.
Our hearts and mind it did ignite, now it’s word we can’t stand.
Powerless and feeble we stumble, anxious ever moment.
Just to remember is not enough, best confess our pride.
Make sacrifice with our lips, to burn on altars on high.
There is a short season for all to make amends to regain our stride.
March on to glory with it burning on the inside.
You don’t have to be astute in business to see the sound investment.
Bring your poverty of spirit leave with the riches of his last testament.
It offers the greatest rate of exchange.
Light for darkness, life for death, selfless love for selfishness.
Streaks of Jefferson
In freedom’s blessed glorified sky through streaks of immortal gold his visage we behold
He looks upon the fields of liberty that he and the founding fathers sowed he sees the
Richness America has become he also beheld her struggles catastrophic wars abroad
And the most painful the one that divided the nation marred it with southern and northern
Blood saw the affable the sad giant Lincoln take the reins of discontent hold them by
Shear will and with uncommon sagacity guided it back in line to fulfill its destiny as the
Powerful fount that would always pour forth waters of freedom for all of earths peoples
Total unconditional acceptance of liberty and all the fruit it bears to establish a
Government like no other this golden grain has waved under bluest skies and brightest
Sun light its rich harvest has gone to darkest prison cells Mandela was sustained by it
For twenty nine years and by its moral purity it fed the lives of those that over threw
Apartied and Mandela finally freed by principals it avows rose from prison clothes

Quality that transcended political office Jefferson not to be disrespectful to his progeny

Get out of the car, it's freezing outside
Tell her that if she's been waiting
For almost an hour
This classmate of hers
Wasn't gonna show up
She's not answering her phone
Tell her the obvious:
These girls don't want you to work
On this project with them
And watch the tears
Falling down her cheeks
And tell her in a cold tone
To get in the car
And stop crying
And think maybe these girls
Aren't really mean girls
And that you shouldn't pitty your sister
For she doesn't have a good reputation
You wouldn't want her in a group project either
Someone asked me "So what happens when you know everything about him and get bored?"And I told them "It's not going to happen, I've known him 5 years and not only am I learning new things still but being re-told old things and I love it, with him there's no getting bored."

I remember Mondays in Coach Mac's class. How I loathed yet loved this occurrence. During the period of poetry, each student was asked to write one of their own and read them aloud in class. To write your feelings, your thoughts, onto lined paper and stand in class constructed spot light, asked to peel the skin off of your body to display.
Others mastered the art of avoidance. Of detachment. They often wrote about how fall was coming or an ode to another classmate. But I was never good at running. So I wrote. Not of happiness because he is a stranger to me. I wrote of what I've known for the past five years of my life.
They told me I had talent. And each Monday they anticipated the moment that I would stand up and read.
They wanted to hear my words. They wanted to know the hopelessness of depression and the consuming sadness that I have only known. They hung on to every syllable of my heartbreak and every stroke of ink of my depression. They wanted to know. They wanted to hear. They held on because I wrote words that discomforts, subjects tucked under the rug. I wrote about the raw experiences they themselves could not verbalize. Yet they were familiar.
They wanted the words from someone else's mouth.
They fell in love with my depression but they never wanted to help.

Love for Minnesota Romance
by Yong H Son
Plot: Dealing with Korean Americans who are trying to figure their lives, struggling between their traditional Korean values and their adopted American nationalism. Driven by their parents' values of family and church, and their desire to keep them with Korean-ism. Jake's ultimate fate gets tested when he meets Norwegian American girl in Guthrie theater, and struggle to succeed with his life goals and make a mark for himself in this world.
Plot device and settings
-showing some of the beautiful sight of Minnesota metro locals, and see those different locations with different weathers. Too often movie based on Minnesota are about the greater Minnesota, rather than the metro cities. My goal is to create a movie, and break Hollywood portrayal of Minnesota as a desolate ice land, but also create Asian protagonist who can be liked by all walks of life. I would like to explore what is means to be an American, and show that age, sex, creed, religion, or all of the above will not dictate you as any less American. Too often I don't see many Asian Americans with a lead role, and I would like to change that. I would love to show Downtown Anoka, Suburb of Blaine development, New Brighton, Downtown Minneapolis, industrial St. Paul, and St. Louis Park city area to name of few.
-struggle between being Rich vs Poor, Koreanism vs Americanism, traditional vs Progressive, family vs personal value. The class between Asians and racism among them. This story has to deal with human reactions, and how one's ideology must shift to survive in another world.
-Church, Night Club, School, Parks, Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul), and metro suburbs.
-Must deal with the 3 theme of Love. 1. Eros, 2. Philos, and 3. Agape (Theme is about love)
-Music have to be Classical: baroque by Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antonio Vivaldi, and Lugwig Von Beethoven. Too often the soundtrack for movie depart from traditional baroque music, and go with more modern hip-hop or pop. The purpose of this movie is to show classical music, and use less current generation music. Although the exceptional rule will have Minnesota's underground bands or groups, and may include "Atmosphere, and Cloud Cult to name a few!"
-Try to get Banana Republic, Gap, or other highly known clothes as the main clothes lines to be used for most of the actors and actresses.
-Need Pepsi or Coke as a soft drink, and will be used for various ad placement through out the movie.
-Best Buy, Target, 3M and other Minnesota businesses need to be used for ad placement to support the Minnesota as a state.
-key structures need to be shown of Minnesota's landmarks, such as Lake superior, MN state fair, Valley Fair, Mall of America, 35W, reference to 10,000 lakes.
-the point of this film is also to get enough sponsorship from many well known companies to make this movie a highly recognized and successful independent film that can compete with mainstream movies!

Mina will be the first to usher in the ideal of mixed marriage in her son, as she faces death due to her cancer. Wanting to see her son happy, she will give the okay for her son to get married to his love at the end of her scene.

Hanna Kim (Daniel's Mother) Following her husband's will, and strong supporter of her family at all cost.
Professor Robert Allen Dorff (Humanities professor of U of M) one of the professors of U of M, and will be most boring and monotonous of the professors. Angela is one of the character to discuss the eros love in her class, and will be used for question the audience of this movie to open the ideal of love. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUQRFTt3E same tempo as shown in this video. This youtube video does not belong to me, but a user named inwit.
The scene will start off by showing clash image of Jake walking towards the foggy baseball field bench of Hansen Park in New Brighton MN, while it will have Daniel speeding on the 35W highway trying to meet up with Jake.
Act one: prologue
Jake sat on the bench at Hanson Park in the city of New Brighton, looking onward of the baseball field. It was a typical Minnesota morning spring weather, each exhale breath had steam vaporized onto the air. Fog covered most of the view of the park, and it had bit of a mythical beauty to the surrounding. Jake wore typical (Banana Republic : product placement) white button down shirt, black pull over vest, black slacks, and black trench coat . It was any typical clothe that Jake would have dressed in any given day, and it would reflected his character of traditional Korean Americanism.
Picking his cigarette from his inner coat pocket, Jake takes a deep breath while he looked at his pack of cigarette. As he lit his cigarette, Jake shakes his head (expressing his dislike for his bad habit). As Jake exhales his nicotine, three silver Honda civics pulled over to the Hanson Park Parking Lot. From the first vehicle, Daniel Kim exited from his car looking towards Jake, then rest of the Daniel's crew exit from their vehicle like a domino effect.
Daniel Kim: “Hey sport, you gonna smoke without us?
Jake turns back to the voice, and then waves his hand after recognizing his friends.
Jake Park: “Not at all strangers, why not join me?”
Jake stood from the bench, and walk towards his friend who is smiling at him. Reaching out their hands, they go for a bro-hug (shaking hand and hug).
As Jake gave bro-hug, he gazed onto his right wrist and looks at his watch. Stunned at the time, Jake opens his eyes in panic.
Jake Park: “you know church is gonna be starting in 5 minutes!”
Daniel takes few steps back and gives Jake a smirk.
Daniel Kim: “ wanna remind me why I should (Edited: care) (Unedited: give a fuck), sounds like a (Edited: self righteous move) (Unedited: bitch move!)”
Daniel grabs his cigarette from his inner jacket pocket, and puts it in his mouth.
Jake Park: “ Because we are always late, and both our parents give us crap for it. Let me rephrase that, your father stares me down, and don't get me started with my parents. They all think I'm the saint remember?
Daniel Kim: “yeah, and they think I'm the devil incarnate. So what else is new?
Jake Park: “We need to at least give them the illusion that I am watching out for both of us, so both our parents trusts me to bring you to god. Good cop, bad cop remember?
Jake points to his watch and shrugs at Daniel, while Daniel looks at his cigarette and sighs
Daniel Kim:“ahaa... (Edited: crap) (Unedited: shit)! give me a minute, let me drag a few before we leave!”
Taking three puff, Daniel twirls his index finger while looking at his crew
Daniel Kim: “lets go boys, we have a date with god!” Jake ride with me brotha, I'll get us there in no time.
Jake get in Daniel's civic, and looks up to think.
Jake Park: “ you know it's gonna be fine if we are few minutes late, no need for another speeding ticket.”
Daniel Kim: “ relax bro, worse case scenario, I'll just burn'em (slang for speed).”
Jake face palms with stressed look
Jake Park: “yeah, I was afraid of that.”
Daniel Kim: “I kid bro, (Edited: just relax and enjoy the ride) (Unedited: just giving you shit).” Daniel pauses “or am I?”
All the boys get into their respective vehicles and drives off to church.
Scene end and cuts to the church sanctuary
Daniel slammed the entry door open to the sanctuary, and the slam echoed like a thunder across the room. The two boys stepped toward the service room, and Jake looked annoyed by Daniel's interruption. During this time the choir sang the hymn “Love Divine,” and both their parents turn back to give them the dirty stare as the two sons look for an empty seats. Jake's father points to his watch as he shakes his head to his son, while Daniel's father gives him the grimacing look onto his son.
Jake nods to his father, and acknowledges him, while Daniel stares onto the minister, ignoring his father. Both Jake and Daniel proceeds to an open seat, then look towards the podium to face the minister, and at this time choir finished the hymn song. As the conductor signals his choir to silence, Minister Benjamin Yi walks to his podium, and looks onward to his congregation.
Minister Benjamin Yi: (speaking in Korean) “God's love is eternal, and his love is unconditional. God's love has no bound, and he gave his only son to die on the cross for our sins. What does this mean to us? It means we are forgiven from our original sin, and we no longer have to face inferno flames of hell, in eternal damnation. Dear congregation members, do not let your personal life change your love for God, for he has not forsaken us. God's love is eternal, and he will never give up on us, so we should never give up on him. Let us all pray, so we may rejoice in his name!”
The congregation all bow down to pray, and Daniel opens his eyes and turns his head to face Jake.
Daniel: “You still coming to the party tonight?”
Jake opens his eyes and faces Daniel with a sigh.
Jake: “I think I'm gonna pass on this one. Gonna watch a play in Guthrie Theater.”
Daniel gives Jake a stare down, and punches Jake on side of his shoulder. Jake responds with both hands up in the air, and stunned look on his face.
Daniel: “ Don't be a wuss bro, just making you into a man. If I didn't know you as long as I have, I would have thought you were gay! Theater really?”
Jake: “ Very funny friend! You of all people should know me by now how much I enjoy watching actors give a powerful performance. Also just because I enjoy little bit of class, doesn't mean I would be gay. Believe me friend, I'm not the only hetero guy out there who enjoy great acting on stage. By the way, I'll stop by as soon as the play is over. I promise, with friends honor.”
Church member who sat front of them glares at the two boys, and then gives them a stern shush.
Daniel waves his hand to gesture he understood, and continues the conversation with Jake.
Daniel: “ I'm talking about fine ladies, and you talking about a stupid play? Just make it there pronto, if not, I'm gonna have all the action. You can bet on that friend.”
Jake: “Arrogant as always, I expect nothing less from you. One day all those ladies will see right through you, and you will pay a hefty price for playing with their minds. Only if they knew you and Grace, then...
Daniel interrupts Jake by raising his hand with a serious look in his face while shaking his head.
Daniel: “No dude, you stepping into a fine line right there. Never utter her name again, not even a screech. You know she played me like a flute, and you know I wanted to give her everything. I wanted to treat her like my queen, and she threw me like a used up tissue paper. Not another word Jake, or you and I gonna have to finished this conversation mono to mono outside of church.”
Jake: “Then you need to stop disrespecting my personal time friend, and then I will utter her name no more! Insults goes both ways Daniel, picking on someone is a double edged sword. It's kinda funny how you can dish it out, but for a tough guy, you sure are softy when people dish it back at you!
Daniel: “Ha ha ha, I'm your hyung.” (Korean word for older brother, and also used in honorific to call and respond to older friends) You need to show more respect to your elderly, it's the true Korean way. 1.5 generation like yourself would understand that much as the first generations.”
Jake: “Ha, you gonna use that against me, are you? You being second generation Korean American, like you even care for that part of the Korean culture. You are 22 years old, and I'm 21 years old. You are like 4 month older than me, and you gonna use the seniority against me. Don't make me laugh, I know how much you like Korean culture, or lack there of. Next thing you know you gonna tell me you speak in polite terms like an innocent first generation Koreans right? Whats next, you gonna end your sentences with nae, and yay to the elders? That would be a melody to my ears, Daniel finally respecting his own culture.”
Daniel: “Yeah you got me, I'm an American, and damn proud of it. Now back to the subject matter at hand, as a friend I command you to come to the party ASAP!”
Jake rolls his eyes and nods.
Jake: -speaking in sarcastic tone- “yes mi-lord, and can we get back to praying, so our souls can be saved?”
Daniel halfway smirks, and proceeds to nod.
*The scene fades with the sermon ending, and the congregation step out of the sanctuary to the dining room. As Jake and Daniel walk to the main hall to the dining room, their parents looks at them with a disappointed face. Jake move toward his parents, while Daniel seemed to proceed to the lobby area, and ignoring his parents.
Daniel: “see you at the party Jake, and don't be late!”
Jake: “see you there Daniel, I'll be there.”
As Jake walks toward his parents with a smile on his face to acknowledge them, Shin Jo Kim (Daniel's Father) grabs Jake's wrist to with an anguish expression with his wife Hanna Kim beside him. Jake stood firmly and gave a respective bow to Kim Family.
Jake: -speaking in Korean in polite terms- “Hello Mr. and Mrs. Kim, how are you doing?”
Shin Jo Kim: -speaking in Korean- “I know you and Daniel are good friends, but would you put some senses into my son. He has been dating these white girls, and putting our family name in shame. Congregation members are whispering fowl rumors about Daniel, and that he maybe having a promiscuous relationship with these girls. Imagine that, unmarried sex! If that is true, lord help me, I couldn't have a mix baby as my grand child. Mrs Kim would have an heart attack, and the child would be an outcast in this church.
Jake: -speaking in Korean uncomfortably- “um... I'll speak with him Mr. Kim.”
Shin Jo Kim: -joyous look on his face- “I know I can count on you Jake, you are a saint compare to my bastard of a son. Daniel has never listen to what I have to say, it's been hard raising a gyopo, and he brings great shame to us. At least he has been accepted to the University of Minnesota and going for his PhD, and his grade has been perfect thus far.
Jake: -speaking in Korean in confident tone- “Oh Daniel is a smart kid, I know he will become a great accomplished doctor one day.
Shin Jo Kim smiles and nods.
Shin Jo Kim: -speaking in Korean- “You know Daniel well, I can see why you two are great friends. I'm Glad we had this conversation.”
Jake bows to Shin Jo Kim, and then sits on the table across from his parents. Shin Jo Kim bows to Min Gyu Park (Jake's Father), and Min Gyu Park returns the bow back. Shin Jo Kim then leaves the dining room with his wife.
Min Gyu Park (Jake's Father): -speaking in Korean- “Son your mother has grabbed you a bowl of curry, sit here and lets have a family meal together, I have few things to discuss with you.”
Jake: -speaking in Korean- “Father I have a prearranged engagement that I need to be at, can we do this some other time?
Min Gyu Park (Jake's Mother): -speaking in Korean- “Jake you need to stop coming to church late, and stop playing with that trouble maker Daniel. Haven't you heard the rumor that he has been dating white girls, and that would lead to marriage with them? If you follow his footsteps, I will not have anything to do with you. Your mother and I will sever our relationship with you, and no longer will be part of this family.”
Jake: -speaking in Korean- “There are plenty of church members who have married white folks, why do you both disapprove of that kind of union? Shouldn't love be between the two lovers, and both consented individual should choose their own destiny? Why do you hate Caucasians so much?”
Min Gyu Park: -speaking in Korean “Those people who have married outside their Koreans roots are frowned upon by the congregation, and they have become an outcast, imagine what their kids would have to go through. Son it's not about hating Caucasians, but them not understanding our culture. We showing respect to our elders, and we live with our parents. Look at how they put their parents in nursing homes, or elderly homes. How is that respectful towards their family?”
Mina Park: -speaking in Korean- “I want to be able to speak Korean with my daughter, and understand each other. I want to have a good relationship, and I want her to understand the Korean culture and respect the family as we do. How can an American understand that?”
Jake: -speaking in Korean- “ Well you two don't have to worry about me yet, I haven't found any American woman, let alone any women. With all these rules I don't think I will ever find a suitable mate. Although you have objection to Caucasians, what if I meet a nice Chinese woman at school? Would you allow me to bring her into the family fold?”
Min Gyu Park: -speaking in Korean- “No, they have different culture than us, it would be a struggle to culture her. Unless she already understood Korean culture, that wouldn't work.
Jake: -speaking in Korean- “How about Japanese? And she understood Korean culture? Can she then come to our family fold?”
Min Gyu Park: -speaking in Korean- “Stop joking with your parents, you know the geopolitics with Koreans and Japanese. That will never be a question to even consider! Stay with Koreans.”
Jake: -speaking in Korean- “well I think I had enough conversation with you two for one day, I need to be at the Guthrie theater. Love you both, I'll see you father and mother at next Sunday.”
Scene ends with Jake leaving the church to the parking lot to his vehicle.
Act one: Meeting of impulse
Driving to the parking ramp by the Guthrie Theater, Jake finds a perfect location near first floor ramp. It was a sunny day, and Jake walked from parking crossroad to the Guthrie Theater. Looking at his watch, Jake realized he had time to relax at the Never Ending Bridge (Guthrie Theater's balcony). Walking towards the concession stand that lead to the Never Ending Bridge, Jake grabs a cup of Riesling and makes it to the balcony door. First Jake walks towards the top of the stair looking at the right of the balcony where the 35W stood, and then proceeds to walk down to the middle of the balcony to view the Stone Arch bridge facing the Mill district of Minneapolis. In a moment of his solitude, he became lost in majestic view of the city scape and the flow of the Mississippi river. Then in a moment female voice directed at Jake.
Mystery lady's voice: “It's a quite view, isn't it?
Jake turns to his left to see a brunette hair female, with a blue eyes. She had business button down white shirt and gray jacket with a matching color slacks. Initially the mystery lady looked equal height as Jake, but he looked at her black stylish high heels. Jake stood stunned by her beauty, and was lost with words.
Jake: -hesitantly- “yes it is, she is a beautiful sight to behold!”
Mystery lady: -confused- “excuse me?”
Jake: -firmly speaks- “oh I was talking about those two doves flying across from us! They are a beautiful sight to behold, soaring their wings across and being free. I would say they must be two lovers.”
Mystery lady: -Laughing- “shouldn't the sentence be they are a beautiful sight to behold, rather than she is a beautiful sight to behold? You were initially referring in noun, but then changed to plural noun.”
Jake: -stumbling- “well, English is my second language, and I still have grammar issue. Sorry about the confusion!”
Mystery Lady: -snarky response- “And you don't have any accent, how long have you lived in the states?”
Jake: -smiling- “You've got me, I lived here for fourteen years. You are quite a detective, and I shouldn't have misjudge your..
Mystery Lady: Intelligence? Do you have anymore smart things to say?
Jake: -hesitating- “hey my mistake, can we start over? My name is Jake Park, you can just call me Jake, and nice to meet you.”
Mystery Lady: -laughs- “ha ha ha... My name is Faith, I don't ever give my last name to a stranger. So you can just call me Faith for now.”
Jake: “Faith huh?” what an interesting name, your household must be religious?
Faith: “While I am ordained Catholic, I consider myself spiritually aware! I believe in nature and energy surrounding our universe. If you believe in big bang theory, I suppose we are made up of stars. I believe when my time comes my physical body will return to earth, but my consciousness will roam the stars.”
Jake: “Very interesting, I guess I never thought of it that way! I was raised as a christian, Methodist denomination, so I guess I believe in heaven and hell. “God's chosen people will go to heaven and others will go to hell.” Um... let me not bore you with religion though, I am starting to ramble and going into my personal tangent.
Faith looked bit uneasy, but smiled at Jake.
Faith: “I guess it never settled well with me that god could be so cruel, and judge upon humanity for not following his will. I think it is contrived to think we would know what god would think, and to think we mortals would know the infinite wisdom of a higher being. I rather not believe in cruel being without loving every creature she has created. Why would you want to believe in a cruel god.”
Jake smiles back and ponders upon what Faith was expressing.
Jake: “I never thought of it as a cruel thing for a creator to punish the righteous and wrong, and I believe God loves us so much that he gave his only son for our sins. Divine love!
Jake pauses and looks at Faith's expression once again.
Jake: “I will never say I know God's mind, but I won't say who is going to heaven and hell, considering I'm just a mortal. I wouldn't know the mind of an immortal after all, but I can tell you in certainty God loves us all. I suppose you know what I mean since you were ordained catholic.”
Faith: “At this point I think we can agree to disagree in with each other's opinions, and our spiritual faith!”
Jake grins and nods at Faith.
Jake: “Hope I didn't offend you Faith, but I'm just voicing my thoughts. Considering I don't often have the luxury to talk to a beautiful lady about spiritual enlightenment, and voice our belief in none- confrontation manner. Unless we were debating in class of course, but this is quite delightful.
Faith stare Jake square in his eyes, and then smiles
Faith: “Are you hitting on me?”
Jake smirks and shrugs at Faith.
Jake: “I don't know, but why don't you tell me if it's working?”
Faith laughs at Jake, and walks away from him.
Faith: “You have lot to learn about girls Jake, especially having a heated discussion about religion.
Jake playfully shouts at Faith.
Jake: “Then lets have a different discussion, I am bit intrigued by your thoughts, like do you come to Guthrie Theater often.”
Faith walks near the glass door to leave the Guthrie Theater balcony, and turns to see Jake once more.
Faith: “I have to meet up with friends in First Ave, but it was nice talking with you.”
Jake: “will I see you again?”
Faith: “If stars will it, and destiny allows it, then we will know that answer.”
Jake: “You are a cruel lady Faith, but it was a pleasure talking with you.”
Faith opens the glass door, and smiles at Jake.
Faith: “Feeling is mutual, bye Jake!”
Jake: “Hey won't you at least tell me your last name before you go?”
Faith: “you have to learn it Jake, better luck next time?”
Faith leaves the Guthrie balcony and Jake turns around to view the Mississippi river and stone arch bridge. Jake smiles and takes a deep breath.
Jake: “Faith huh? What a beautiful name! What a beautiful girl. I bet Daniel wouldn't believe it if I even.... Daniel... Party, Oh crap, what time is it?
Jake raises his wrist to look at time in his watch and sighs.
Jake: “Looks like I'm gonna be bit late!”
Jake walks to the glass door, and proceeds to leave the balcony.
Act 1: Party Animals
Jake comes out of his vehicle to a rowdy house with loud pop music, people laughing, smoking and little brawls going about. It was a big house, and there were pack load of people enjoying the party. As Jake walks to the house, he could see people puking in the drive way. When Jake enters the house, he sees Jacob his classmate and room mate.
Jacob: “sup Jake, you gonna be ready for tomorrow's presentation in speech? Don't tell me you gonna wing it, I need you to do your part buddy. I want that ace, and I can't have you fumbling on the team!”
Jake: “dude I was born ready, just make sure you do your part, so we can get that ace you talking about! My only worries is Humanities, considering the professor Dorff is super monotonous. Half of the times I dread going there, since he get hyper about anyone sleeping in his class.
Jacob: “Dude I heard about him too, and I gather he fails people left and right. I feel for you brotha, you gotta uphill battle to deal with there. At least you have Professor Cunningham in psychology, and I hear she is excellent at lecture!
Jake: “yeah, and she is one fine lady.”
Jacob: “yeah, that's what I gather, and I don't think any males would pass up for an opportunity with her. Hell I wouldn't mind a private tutoring with Professor Cunningham all day and everyday, but I gather she is married.
Jake: “So I gather, speaking of which I met a lady in the Guthrie Theater.”
Jacob: “yeah? Don't tell me you got her number, and you have a date with her? So where is she?
Jake: “Actually we had a good conversation about religion, and then she had to leave.”
Jacob: “You mean you offended her, and she ran away from you?”
Jake: “No dude, it wasn't like that. She told me she had to see her friends in First Ave, and she enjoyed the conversation.”
Jake: “And I came here after realizing the time”
Jacob: “oh Jake, you have lot to learn about ladies.”
Danial sees both Jake and Jacob near the living room, and walked toward both of them stumbling from all the alcohol he had.
Daniel: “my friends, my brothers, and my family! How you all doing?
Jacob: “I'll let you handle this one Jake, considering you have lot to discuss with Daniel.”
Jacob walked away from both Jake and Daniel.
Daniel: “so wuts up? What is this all about Jake, and don't leave any juicy detail from me brah!
Jake: “ So I met a girl in Guthrie Theater...
Daniel: “You got her number, damn brah, I guess you are smooth after all.”
Jake: “Nah...... nothing like that. We just had a meaningful conversation, and it went really well?”
Daniel: “brah... meaningful conversation? Did you at least get a kiss? Anything? I should have guessed Jake, with your naive mind, you will never hook up. No matter, there are plenty of fish to go by. Why don't I hook you up with someone in this place. I'll help you!”
Jake: “brotha you too drunk, and if I'm looking for someone, I'll do it on my own terms.”
Daniel: “typical Jake, I should expect no less from you, still balless or glory! Well no use in wasting time trying to help a dead fish, time for shark like me to take over!
Looking upon a group of female cohorts, Daniel yells out to them!
Daniel: “Hey Lisa, come to me babe, I want some sweat loving!”
Lisa Evelyn lead her cohorts, and walked towards Daniel.
Lisa Evelyn: “Daniel you are drunk, and that isn't how you treat a lady. When you sober up, don't forget to apologize, and you won't be getting anything tonight!”
Crowd around them gave a childish woos! Daniel can only look at his buddy Jake with a smile and whispers.
Daniel: -Whispers to Jake -“I got her where I want her!”
Jake: “right, good luck with that Daniel!”
Daniel looked upon Lisa and yelled towards her.
Daniel: “hey babe I'm just playing, honey come back, I love you girl!”
Daniel walks off to find where Lisa went!
Cameron Smith walks towards Jake, while looking at Daniel's exiting moment.
Cameron Smith: “My bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep; the more I give to thee,
The more I have, for both are infinite. by William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet!”
Daniel: “so who is the Romeo and who is Juliet, in those two story?”
Cameron Smith looks at Daniel with confused look, and then shrugs at Daniel.
Camerson Smith: “ Definitely none of them, but I was referring to you and the lady you met at the Guthrie theater.

exploration of two loving minds
Jake and Faith walks on the sidewalk of the downtown Anoka riverside. Looking upon the Anoka river from the Main street bridge, they held their hands together. With the full moon and street lamps lit, Faith leaned her head on Jake's shoulder.
Faith: “It's a beautiful night, I wish time would stop at this moment!”
The night was silent in an empty street of Anoka, and they listened to the waterfall as it dissipated into the body of river. Jake moves behind Faith to rest his chin on her shoulder, while he wraps his arms around her waist, they looked upon the navy blue stars above them.
Breeze whistled through the riverside bridge, while the leave fells from the branches.
Jake: “Yes it is a beautiful night, and I don't care if time would stop for me, because I am lucky to share it with you! This beautiful night means nothings without spending it with you Faith, and because I'm with a beautiful lady like you, this night means that much more to me!”
Faith starts to laugh, and Jake looked stunned by her reactions.
Faith: “Jake you can sound so corny, and your delivery is so off beat. Must be humanities class is rubbing off on you, with all that talk about Romeo and Juliet.
Jake: “Faith is it that corny if what I say comes from the heart, and if I am being honest with you?”
Faith starts to laugh again. And Jake is further stunned by her reactions.
Faith: “No Jake, it is because you are corny and honest why I am attracted to you!

Struggle within the Unsettled minds
Walking on the top of the roof of his apartment complex holding a whiskey as the shadow of the night descended upon the sky.
Their eyes matched from the distance, as Jake looked upon Faith from my side in Henson Park baseball field, and she sat on the bench crying. Fog hazed our views from the breaking dawn, but Jake could clearly see her from the distance tearing up, and she tried to cover her eyes with her hand to avoid showing her sorrow. Jake walked towards her to get to the parking lot, and she stood up lowering her hand to face me. I halted to stand next to her without looking at her, and without facing her, we stood side by side. I can see her from my peripheral vision taking a single step, and I stood silently cold without any emotions. I can see steam from my breathing, and her body shaking in the morning cold.
Only words that came out of my mouth was "Take care Faith, it's been fun, and I hope you will find a better man."
She stood silent, but her tears kept dropping from her face, and in Jake's mind he did not want us to end this way. Jake started to walk away from her to his vehicle, and then she yelled out to him.
Faith: "Why Jake, why does it have to end this way? How did our relationship come to this?"
Jake finally turned around to look at her, and he felt the pain of her cry, but he wanted to give her a new beginning.
Jake: “Because I do love you, and our circumstances won't allow us to be together.
I don't want to prolong our relationship if there is nothing for us at the end, if there is no future for us, when the world is against us. I do love you, and I know how much you love your family, and I do mine.”
Faith:“ then be with me, I am willing to give up everything for our chance to be together. I want to be with you, I want to give us a chance.”
Jake turned away from her and opened his vehicle door while and he yelled out to her
Jake: “ I'm sorry Faith!”
Jake can see her face from the windshield of my car, and her covering her eyes with both of her hands sobbing, and watch her lips saying “ why? Don't do this! Don't do this!
Without anymore hesitation, Jake drove off from the park.

Jake sees Faith in distant, across Anoka’s Main St. near 2nd ave
I have known this much talked about search for true love for over 10 years and I am aged 22 years now. There was this unforgiving loneliness till I was 17 years of age given that I am the only child of my parents who lives with them in a lonely campus of a research institute away from the small city.
A tumultuous relationship filled with resentment to the brim about my parents keeping me their only 'issue' was brought to the hilt and I was weary of being their arguably most beloved 'machine' who was supposed to live sticking to the 'guidelines' laid by them as the ideal only son.
We aren't from a landlord's family and have limited resources, so I was supposed to suffice in my parents' love and affection, studying at a fairly consistent dedication to bring forth the results worthwhile landing me a good job.
But who has been able to control a Romeo-in-the-making?
But my Juliet wasn't yet on the horizon till age 17, when I mistakenly took my first girlfriend who was my classmate till class 7, to be my last love. Period. Then for the first time I was introduced to the idea of 'love' by this sweet girl whom I dub "G1" over 11 months elder to me. I had proposed her, but it was not a pre-emptive proposal.
Our period of courtship had started over Orkut which was the most popular social website at that time. It was just friendship initially until I had unsuccessfully proposed two bimbets other than my first girlfriend. One of those two unsuccessful attempts was with her best-friend-once-upon-a-time.
I had told her about them both, she had even tried apparently helping me propose her best friend when I had told her that I had even written a song for my childhood crush over the years I had been away from my old school.
Her first reaction was, "I would die for having such a boyfriend! Wish it was I for whom the song was composed."
Then when I proposed my childhood crush, G1, I couldn't even mention about the song and she rejected my proposal. Period. I was distraught, I was broken & I was amazed at how easily she could've undermined my liking for her from the past 7 years.
To take my attention off the disappointment posed by my first rejection. I proposed a different girl, G2, non-seriously, knowing that another rejection was lurking behind the curtains of time.
Rejection 2 successfully diverted my mind away from the mess created. Anyways, I did have a girlfriend for myself. After all, people love guys who sing melodiously and can play guitar apart from having decent appearance, and believe me- I used to look this chocolatey young guy until I was 19 years of age.
The girl who later went on to have the place vacated by my first crush was her same best-friend-once-upon-a-time 'G3'. She went on varied lengths in narrating her own break-up story with the guy she was with. I got a second-hand piece as my first girlfriend. It was no issues, at least till she was bickering about how he had broken her 'heart-of-a-self-proclaimed-princess' and we started having arguments and serious tiffs over what had been happening in her life.
We broke-up. I had enough of the hardships brought by myself upon her. She had taken to crying harshly over phone. I resented myself. I failed to identify that it was not true love indeed but only a mirage of the idea.
I next concentrated in studies and this time I prevailed over the hurdles offered by examinations and a second girlfriend, 'G4', who refused to openly accept she was going about with me was attracted to me. She'd go see the Taj Mahal at Agra and the Hawa Mahal at Jaipur with me apart from spending the night in the same hotel room but would still reckon me with my pending reappear supplementary exams and wouldn't openly accept a failure as her man. I was frustrated by her autocratic behaviour and opted for a different girl, 'G5'.
G5 was the prettiest of my first 3 GF's as far as looks were considered. We romanced around Delhi's historical places and malls; holding hands around cinemas and Old Fort walls in New Delhi. But still I was as virgin as I was when I was born.
May 7, 2010 was a scorching hot day with the sun ablaze overhead and me going on the busiest highway of India. I was going back to my home and met with a serious road accident en route that kicked me out of my senses into a frozen comatose state.
I somehow survived the life-threatening coma and was moving around in 52 long weeks, limping heavily all thanks to my parents and the kind physiotherapist. Thanks to a poor memory, I initially performed extremely below average at college.
Then I was all prepared to attack at all future examinations and nothing could stop me. I breezed past another girl 'G6', this was my last failure. She was confused between me and a different guy. Neither me nor any other guy with a high self-prestige would entertain the idea of being weighed as an option. I again moved on.
Then comes the continuing story of my true love. True love is the one that lasts forever successfully. She is incidentally my 7th chance upon the love pathway and last. I am sure this is her- my soul-mate.
She is my gateway to the 7th heaven, I find her presence in every aspect of my life. She is 6 years and 9 months younger to me and her descent in my life has been the best thing in my life. I celebrate and rejoice each day in her presence. Our tastes are so similar that we feel that merely our X- & Y-chromosomes are different.
We patiently wait for time to last till the day till we perish after blessing our grandchildren. We live 250 kilometres away from each other and have only known each other through voices and photos. We are yet to meet. Till then I wait for the day my master degree gets over and she gets into a medical college.
Now I will end this post by saying that there's no end of love and no beginning of it - you just have to wait, identify and hold on to your truest love.
Self-Note (Not to be forgotten): This was the last time you wrote about your past. But what's passed is past now and is meant to be forgotten. I really hope she reads the second-last paragraph duly and gives it due thought. 143 Creeps!
