It was not real, an illusion

Hiding from beneath
The threshold of those
Lies that you told
To make me believe
The person whom I'm talking
Is a hero of the olds

Your kindness was bitter
Spiteful, but bold
It lacked so much leeway
For comfort and soul
Believed in being the freedom
When it was tethers of cold

As time passed by
It ran out of fillers
To conceal it's grimes
From words that I uttered
Consoling such ruse
I stepped on it, yearning

With my truth and yet you

Your deception was forgiven
Only in your mind
All this time I have driven
The wheels you brought out
Unknowing, insane is brethren
With your impurities of time
Tether - a rope or chain with which something is tied to, to restrict its movement.
You came and left
Without a mark to remember,
Much like the cold snow days of peak December.

My worries do not reside in what I can do,
Rather, the heart-spun tether I attached to you.
Falling as the stars fall,
Tethered to you.
We felt the forces of gravity and friction all too soon.

To be as grounded as a kite,
dancing wild in the wind,
eyes on the sky,
but secure in my roots,
in my tether
to excited, nimble hands.
Suns out. Winds up.

My dear familiar,
come stand a little closer
that the tether between us
may hang slack.

Come stand a little closer
and with love we will tie a bow,
so loosely
so fragile
as to be easily undone.

Oh now my dearest,
we need not cut our ties
when the circumstances of life
pull us apart,
as they are wont to do.

And though apart we stand
I will feel the familiar tug
that draws us together

and together we will come
again
and
again
until the motions become
so familiar
as to make dance of it.

Possessed
Warring within the wind
Aped by a flush, you unveil a plash
Flaunting us a stygian, hazy gore
Left weaving a susurrus blether
With shards prodding your throat
