birds of a feather
no one has put

two and two
together

daisies gone
Occam’s razor

and he
our common denominator

no monsters under his bed
but in it

scars ripped open
I thought had healed

hurt to heal
heal to hurt

words I had never spoken
out loud before

hot lava
righteous anger

memory loss &
found negatives

was that a kindness?
to ply me with alcohol so that I wouldn't remember?

two weeks
no sleep no eat

hurt to heal
heal to hurt

a new hurt
to contend with

suddenly ghosted
back in the dark

like all dark
eating away at light

till only the stars remain
maybe signalling

to one another
I see you, I see

you, I
see

Out of the many inhabitants
Of your heart.
I still pace the downtown streets
Hoping to see your face among the
Crowd.
Whether you are leaving a plate of pasta
Or I catch you walking past the side of a building.
Of all the places I've been
I enjoy being here the most.
If by chance I see your face,
Whether you are alone
Or with company.
I'll keep my hello short
Around the landmark of your dimple
Most of the flights I'd like to take
Really are affordable

I flung my arms open
In a dream.
I hoped to feel you, knowing
A place warm and welcoming.
A place I haven't been in so long.
I flung my arms open to a place That I've missed, that I haven't been in so long.
A knock perfectly placed on your heart.
I've missed you so much,
Remembering the last time we spoke.
The last time we kissed.
Our lips patient in between knocks.
Our feet tap in anticipation.
My fingers in such rush to grab you.
In relief to how I've missed you being in front of me.
Seeing your smile for the first time in so long.
Your face a breath of fresh air.
And this,
The warmth of your skin.
Your caress snug against my skin,
The best dream I've had in so long

It just came into my mind, to write you something.
Though you don't deserve, and to you I am nothing.
Oh hundreds of days passed us by,
and I still remember that look into your eye.

You know, I was caught by your charm.
Oh how I wanted to be in your arms.
But it feels like a forbidden thing,
so I did what is right, to you I didn't cling.

Here I am, with my pen and reminiscing.
I can till feel the thrill- I am still smiling.
One day I hope to see you around,
I want to be enraptured by your sound.

However, there might be someone who owns your heart.
And perhaps, for you it is a beautiful start.
I will be delighted and won't demand for more things to happen.
To see you...just to see you again- I will be truly gladdened.

This poem is dedicated to a person I met year 2013. I made him a code name and called him "Yes Man".
