Waking up with you near
I no longer have the first breath of my day be fear.
The way you kiss my forehead,
Press your nose against mine.
For these moments everything is divine.
It’s when I leave the cover of your arms.
The warmth of your embrace.
It takes me back to a less safer place.
To the home I had that was haunted with fear.
I wish my husband didn’t almost die so many times in that year.
You know what to say when I need it.
please just be gentle with my heart, you don’t know how many times it has been defeated.

There’s no way they could’ve known,
About the time you died with greed in vain.
But we are only animals inside,
And god, it’s worth the pain.

Lil' blonde she devil,
With eyes that steal the souls of a thousand men.

Lil' blonde she devil,
With a sweet embrace, through cowardice she was sent away with sadness on her face

Lil' blonde she devil,
Always crossing his mind, reminding him of mistakes made,

Lil' blonde she devil,
With an angels smile, now she's gone, and so is her smile
I ******* it up, it could've been great,  I panicked and it fell apart, you have to appreciate the sheer cowardice from me, but if she ever does read this, all she needs to know is that she's still on my mind and in my heart

Forever moving
never ceasing
Forever seeking
can't find it
Searching, hoping, pleading, bleading, crying
Black and bruised
On my knees
Head up high
Prayers unheard
Forever believing, never stopped hoping
Forever running, breath seeking
Legs numb
Heart pounding
Warm blood rushing through my cold body
Eyes wide awake
Something inside of me, kicking, screaming, pleading, bleading, crying
Forever moving
never ceasing
Forever seeking
can't find it

Before you part your tender lips to ask
I want to put your mind to task

First tell me

If the Sun would ever rise from the West and set in the East
If a funeral could turn out as interesting as a
wedding feast?
If stars would ever stop twinkling and delegate the moon.
And flowers be treasured if they abandoned
their bloom.

First tell me

Whether the heart would ever ask for a salary
increment or rest
And an audience in the theatre mourn at the
jest
If the road would ever ask from pedestrians
transport fare
If "U " and "I" apart even in the Alphabet
seems fair

First tell me

Whether romance would have meaning if we
didn't have each other
If Oceans would exist incase Springs and Rivers
didn't stretch further
If the Red Wine would have a description
besides your kiss
If the Art of humanity would make sense
without the masterpiece?

First tell me

Which ballad would sell if an Angel like you
wasn't born?
What else besides your rosy smile would
describe the dawn?
If dreams would be worth pursuing without
you
What else is worth waking to view like morning dew?
If poems would survive the glacier of time
Without the worthwhile candy taste of rhyme

I never knew a song
to have eyes
Never knew a song
to look back
To sing, without a single word set free
To fill me to the brim with music
not sound
To shimmer and shake
Consumed with stories
Stumbling over one another to make themselves heard
and seen
But then again
I never knew a poem
Could be buried
In the wrinkles of a palm
I will wait
