It's all so quiet
Silent within its hidden slumber
And dreams a beautiful dream which guides and cools the Windrush on the water.

Its dream song flows through my patterns
Atoms wave like sunkist fields of wheat
So peaceful is its essence
It is silent when it speaks.

So she thinks I'm cute,
She thinks I'm **** and hot
I look in the mirror, beg to differ,
I think not

She told me she "really" likes me
But wants me to forget she ever told me
One-sided admiration is awkward, apparently
Says she

I tell her to chill
No need for embarrassment
Embrace you inner Jamaican
Don't allow awkwardness it's harassment

How cold is it, that I accept so easy?
Feeling nothing but relation in return
An empty heart, cold blood
And a mind in guilt, burns
I feel bad, but at the same time I don't know her as well as i'd like. What do I do?

My amusement comes from the music.
Every riddim that flows freely.
The bass go boom boom boom.
Every tune blooms open like flowers in the summer.
The sound of the drummer; and the tempo from the bass
The mellow vibe vibrations soothes all frustration.
Relaxation.
Its live and jive.
And it makes my hips sway.
I'm talking about di gud ol reggae.

For my craving, satisfy me
of this spicy, loathsome
inclination of my restless soul.
You, from the Caribbean Sea--
Santiago, let your
ambrosia signifies of how
your people colloquially
refers you, as "Rock".

Santiago, a refuge
you were once for the Jews.
As desirably firm as you are,
abolish me of these crisp desires
for they renders me with nothing,
but mere pertubation.

Oh Santiago, obscure me
inside your dry rain - shadow
areas, relatively.
For a while, conceal me
so I may somehow be
healed of this tempestuous outburst.

Sing me a lullaby, Santiago.
With such unique culture
of yours, infect me.
To be vibrant, and
to become Jamaican.
