Lo,
they hailed him
sweet in the fervor
trumpets murmur
triumph's pleasure
at
last
he said
the day is done
and judgment falls
upon the crown
that bore the sin
that bore their sin
that bore our sin
and cast it within
into the depths
of the hungry well
to drown in hell
to drown in hell
the sins they went
ne'er to return
and shut the well
amen,
the well

Lo,
they bid him molten praise
cast iron for his head
a new crown to wed
a new crown instead
for sin was cast away
into the well
into its hell
for sin is the devil
who tried and was not true
whose face was blue with envy
whose pride was green with shame,
and sin did waltz inside
like a prideful man to the gallows
for he takes his death with gladness
for his toils shall be put to rest
for his evils shall ne'er live again,
into the well, as well...
into its hell, do tell.

I saw the sins of man
become a squawking heron,
that claimed the bounds of heaven
and swallowed its own hubris instead
for heaven's beauty was a gift
so humbling
such bliss
the heron blazed with hellfire
and the hellfire was no more,
for there
a sun had shone
as if it never left
but the well did not know the sun,
and hell did not as well,
the sins and gallows hence
married their supper of crows
for carrion were they to themselves
manifold in its selfsame misery,
for misery sates misery,
and wrath sates wrath,
and pride sates pride,
and envy sates envy,
and lust sates lust,
and gluttony sates gluttony,
and greed sates greed,
but nothing sates the sun,
nothing sates the sun,
for the sun is sated of Himself,
for He eats of his own being,
to create for all creation,
infinitely into infinity,
the infinity of the sun,
for the sun is pure, and potent,
the sun is light, and grace,
the sun is mercy, and love,
the sun is forgiveness, and truth,
and these are the gifts of the sun to all.

These are the gifts of God by the sun.
And may it shine forever.
May the sun bless us all.
Nuff said...
Amen

Stay tuned for the sequel that "mayhaps" comes,
"Laundry Day." ;)

love conquers all,
but it requires a mightier feat
with time who tells what will befall.

03.23.21.| i've been in a place where i'm slowly realizing how scared i am of a soul when i find myself truly and deeply loving the people around me. what would i be if i lose them like water slipping from my fingers? would "true loss and bittersweet grief" be enough, i suppose love is always beyond words.

Do you understand how hard it is for someone?
The ability they have to conquer any situation.
To face not only the outside world, but themselves.

The toxicity of their bad habits clinging onto them for dear life.
Pulling and scratching to control,
Fight back with everything they have.

But it’s those days where they are able to win the fight.
The feeling of accomplishment.
Rejoicing in the ambience.

Thankful and grateful.
Now they keep going.
Forward.
Never quit.

come lay beside me
let my fingers caress your sorrows
working through deep creases
releasing all stress your breath carries
massaging tense shoulders
and unspoken hurt buried in your chest
pulling pain from silent reservoirs
of former loneliness

I am here with you now
there is no sadness
my laying of hands can't resolve
in love there is only purity
a bliss found in eternal connection
let me tenderly kiss
all that delays your thoughts
from slumber

together, we
conquer fear as my fingers
work the tendons
making them pliable again
cupping hands to your heart
feeding you warmth and beauty
to quell midnight aches

come to me, whisper
your concerns
you never need carry
them alone again
for love conquers doubts
sending a tsunami
of tenderness
wave upon wave
to flood your soul
for  in love
we are made whole

As I dream of dawn
Night conquers dusk yet again
Making worlds go dark
A different take on my previous poem, "Hope," though they have very different meanings.

You are the Gift of Love
I gave to myself.
My love for you
defies distance,
conquers barriers,
and transcends lifetimes.

In these days of online conservatism, I dare not publish what-I-think-is a sweet and loving poem.  Of course, I won't hesitate to put it into one of three books (see bottom of poem), since I consider it a good poem in itself and an observation worth the art.  Hope you agree.

       She Dry, He Soft

She dry, he soft.
They hold aloft romance and passion.
Does not passion pass on?
And what stance does romance take
When body fails?  Does one fake?
The keys are there in every action:
Every whispered word, touch, clutch.
Intensity may modify.
Who needs to reach the sky each twinkling of an eye?
Friendship’s warmth and harmony
Lie at the heart of passion’s key,
And if they go, so will the rest.
At best, what's left but superficiality –
A shell - and crusty one at that,
Destined in the upshot to fall flat.
She dry, he soft, not often reaching Everest,
Yet ***, oh yes, the very best,
Back and forth in all its warmth.
Superlative
In giving.

For months I've been poisoned so heavily, the toxicity seeping from every pore on my body.
Until one day, you came into my life.
My thoughts are now filled with love, overpowering the harmful thoughts that used to hang off the edge of my mind.
You make me feel important again, as if these vicious words I've heard before were nothing but lies.
You continuously show me that I am capable of conquering my thoughts and creating a better world for myself.
Your love and positivity is the antidote I've been longing for.
I'm beyond grateful to have finally found you.
i love you

Does it take one person or does it take many? The angels that flee, the demons that linger. Redemption seeks company in the eyes of innocence. If I lied to you, would you believe me? If I told you the truth, would you doubt me? This life is vice versa. And I grew weary with being honest. This figurative noose, slowly loosens grip. I feel like I can breathe again. Love sings her songs into my heart. But why do I still doubt her? I want nothing to do with you. It's too good to be true. I guess that makes me a liar. Why did you start this fire?

Take this pill,
The man said without a mouth.
He stared at me,
Yet eyeless was he.
The northern point,
Shadows south,
Across the drowned; dry sea.

Plant the seed here,
Prance your steed here,
The branches are very near.

Time without memory,
Memory without time,*
Blood drips from every line.

The line a poet creates,
Upon many things relate.

A line of words,
Or a hanging man's last,
Does he see life in a flash?

Is greed, lust what guided him?
Or did love shine out from within?

With actions,
Yet he atone?
Undying fractions,
Does he die alone?
