i once heard a comedian
bemoan his career
i need to get up and do the thing
i need to get onstage and make the folks laugh,

for i am the gatekeeper to another world,
and when i open the great gilded doors,
for you to walk through
you will have entered a place
of make believe
and candy
sugarcoated walls,
and flowing rivers of chocolate

your pain will have subsided
your worries
if i have done my job right
will have melted onto the floor

remember those bills?
i dont either!
they have vanished into
my topcoat
your woes are all with me now

and i am prepared
to carry your weight
when i arise
in the morning

i know a heavy transaction
will occur
this exchange
a laugh for your burden.

i am not just a comedian
i am a burden collector.

Go back to the laughter
Back to the jokes
You were meant to be like that

What's with that frown of yours
You're not supposed to do that
Only we have the exclusive right to be sad when you aren't comedic enough

Look at this person
All ranting and raving
Whining about the little things in life
You are supposed to entertain us
Not cry and ask for your audience for help

Instead, let us take photos and videos
Let us share and laugh at your efforts
That's fine, isn't it?
It's your job to make jokes, and we're having fun because of it

Media, news, speeches everywhere
Popular in every way imaginable
Isn't this the fame you wanted?
Isn't this the attention you craved?

But look at you now
All balled up with no emotions
How are you going to make us laugh like this?
This isn't right
You're not right
We are

You bore us
You have no value now
You have failed us
You have failed you

The current you is worse
The past you was better
We don't like you now, you're a bore

Now move along
Pack your bags as we move on
Maybe stepping and kicking you as you walk
As we begin our search for a better person that can properly do their job
For the entertainers

Mayas : After an exhausting day
I'm ready to get some groceries to cook dinner
I'm thinking a nice...
Holy! Look at those muscles.
I'll have whatever he's having.
Or just him...
Yummy.
Maybe I'll just bump my cart into his
and start up a casual conversation.
I turn the aisle and am,
Slowly coming up to him...
Oh $#!+ !!!
Why is it wet.
I slip and fall.
Taking down all the cereal with me.
**** it.
Trying to look cute and fail...
This day just keeps going from bad to worse...
But hey this worked out better than I thought.
Beautiful blue eyes looking me over.
Strong arms picking me up.
I should I have pretended to pass out
That way he could have given my CPR.
But his strong muscly arms picking me up are okay.
Oh happy ****** day.

AB: Mayas girl you funny as hell ,
You win ,
I got nothing,
God that was so **** funny :-D :-D :-D
My gawd lol so ******* funny
It's the silence that always gets you.
The laughter is a drug and there is no worse a addict than the comedian
Behind the laughter is the insecure person you never see .

It's the empty rooms the miles between gigs it  always comes to that next fix.
Those few seconds when I can  be  everything I'm not the escape is the best release there has ever been.

And as you leave it behind the ego deflates and the isolation sets in were all children in tattered shells called adults .
So fragile the rock that seldom does embrace the sea .

Were all ****** up in are own separate ways.
Behind the laugh at times is the worst place you may ever realize you want to be.
