When does faith become fairytale?
And would be heroes
Take to the stage to say their piece
Who will listen, who will take note?
Put them on a pedestal
And see what we can learn.

When does faith become fairytale?
When the dragons being slain
Are the people who don't believe
In the same ideals
But think for themselves
When does faith become fairytale?

When does faith become fairytale?
Is it when the happily ever after
Comes at the cost
Of innocent lives lost
Is YOUR faith a fairytale?

When there is no happily ever after
And all the dragons have been slain
When the heroes turn their poison tongues
And whisper to your ear
Who will be left
To think for themselves
And turn this world around
Will they see through the false facade
But teach to no avail?
When does faith become fairytale?
You can say what you say.
But all they perceive is a modern fairytale.
Yes, all they want are the actions of our fairytale.
You can say what you say.
Yes, you can say what you say.
All they want are the actions of our fairytale.
Let us implement our so-called modern fairytale.
Indeed, you can say what you say.

Software developer, your clients want what they want.
I can imagine that program, together celebrating in harmony.
Computer programmer, your clients what want they want.
I can imagine that app, together celebrating in harmony.
Everybody singing, it wasn't a modern fairytale.
Thank you, Lord, (yes) it wasn't a modern fairytale.

soulmates?
Steph Nov 2014
december 2011:
soulmates? something out of a fairytale!
handsome Prince Charming and the sweet Princess
are unlikely childhood sweethearts
their scripted fate tucked away under my bed.
april 2012:
soulmates? it’s just like in the fairytales.
we flirted with chance but knelt on destiny
my eyes were bright and wide as
true love’s first kiss hangs promised in the air.
april 2013:
soulmates? the fairytale wasn’t mine.
I tried to fill in the gaps with ice cream and picnics
but we were a jigsaw puzzle missing half its pieces.
don’t worry, I thought, I am still so very young.
july 2013:
soulmates? the fairytale forgotten
I threw myself at people hardly worth the toss
mistakenly discarding pieces of myself
I didn’t expect to need later
november 2013:
soulmates? a fairytale of treachery.
you sleeping beauty, wide awake
I tore myself to shreds on your wall of thorns
tread carefully, for fate is a dangerous game.
january 2014:
soulmates? a fairytale, for now
I cast that suffocating doctrine out of my mind
frozen in time, I decided now was what mattered
a love like one I’d never felt before beckoned
may 2014:
soulmates? a fairytale assured
I don’t know what the future holds, or how my story will unfold.
happiness is everything and care is not for this world.
love is abounding and soulmates can wait.
october 2014:
soulmates? they belong in fairytales.
chipped and damaged hearts don’t become more whole
just by finding comfort in another broken soul.
all the world’s a playground
these grown-up children
just playing pretend
because nothing’s really meant to be
after all.

Your Fairytale
Pallavi Jul 2015
When fantasy marries reality, it is your fairytale
You know what you think; you know what you mean,
Whether your heart speaks your mind or the other way,
While you are sewing the threads of your fantasies,
You are multiplying the perimeter of your boundary

When desire meets needs, it is your fairytale
You push the envelope or prefer to keep it inside
You do it when the time is ripe
Certainty is always prime,
What happens, happens for good
But change can be the devil unlike itself

When honesty meets passion, it is your fairytale
Insane as it can be, sanity may ******* sometimes
Truth should never leave you away or you may die
But praise yourself for once, because you never cease to try

**** the bee of the fear and insecurity
That hums in your mind constantly,
You ought to believe you are the queen bee
Alone or with your colony, you always remain to be
Even if you didn't make for the honey
You can still make it for the nectar
It will always be your fairytale; whether too many flowers, one or none.

I want a fairytale love
A knight in shining armor
Riding a majestic white steed
Noble and handsome
Strong and true
One others look up to
And model themselves to
A man of courage
Willing to stand for what’s right
Who will fight for what he loves
And never give up
I want a fairytale love

I want a love worth dying for
Something so strong and so sure
That death would be preferred
To reaching its end
I want a love worth dying for

I want someone to love me
To love me for who I really am
To devote to me his life and his means
Every second of the day
Every thought in his head
I want to be the center of his universe
To bring light to his world
I want him to be willing
To lay down his life
Without question or doubt
Because, to him, I am worth it
I want someone to love me

I want so much more
Than a fairytale love
I want someone who’ll be there
Through the good and the bad
Who will kiss me fiercely when angry
Softly, when sad
Passionately, when in love
Who will hold me tightly
No matter what
Who will always follow me
When I run
Who will love me
Always
I want so much more
Than a fairytale love

Every story has a criminal
The one after the treasure
The one set on destruction
Reaping chaos among the land
If this life was a Fairytale I'd be the villain
Set on making your world incomplete
I'd be the one trying to steal the treasure
Out of your locked down chest
Stripping you of a life of happiness
I'd be the one who failed to overcome
The tragedy of my past
Failed in mastering the art of love
I'm the nobody
Trying to make myself a god
If this was a fairytale I'd be the villain
I'd be the one always losing
I'd be the one to die in the end
I'd be the one you save
As you accidently plunge a blade through my emptying chest
As we lay there realizing the faults
We both made in this not so happy ending fairytale
We both don't get to live happily ever after
The main point of it was to see good and evil side by side
Happily joining forces to finally see the peace of mind
Yet death always is the price a villain must pay
When his goal is ending the world
Bringing new color into a faded world lost in chaos
The villain was the hero
The hero was the villain
Happiness was prevented
By the one they all gave the flag to wave in their name

You told me you would make my life a fairytale.

I still remember as clear as water.
You saw through my sadness,
and offered me a hug.

I fell in love with you that day.

I shouldn't have believed you.
You used me,
cheated,
yelled.
You even dragged the L word out of me, a word I don't trust.

You killed the only thing in me that was alive.

I wish I hadn't met you.
I wish I hadn't fallen for you.

You told me you would make my life a fairytale,
but you never mentioned that you would be
the villain.

Oh, i'm in love.
Like in a Disney's fairytale.
You know the ones, where ending always ends so well?

Like Snow White prince locates her.
Or like Cinderella finds hers.

I just know, i'm in love.
One that's justify and honorable and adequate and reasonable.
Like in a Disney's fairytale.

It's the substance of things unseen that leaves it's mark.
And the moment I saw her I found my interest.
Just like in a Disney's fairytale

Our love could be like a Fairytale

Twisting, winding down brick trails

Full of mystery and wondrous spells

Unguarded hearts with happy tales

Endless room without fear to fail

Our love is exactly like a Fairytale

No matter how bad I want it, It's just not real.

Itulog nalang natin 'to, ano?
You are a fairytale
Like what is written in books
A true prince in every way
When I look at you I can hardly believe it
That after all this time I am here
With you

You are a fairytale

When I first met you I couldn’t believe you were real
You were handsome
You were exotic
You were the epitome of perfection
You dazzled like a gemstone
You are rare like a fine wine

You are a fairytale

Together we became a miracle
Together we fit
You were my puzzle piece
I was yours

And over time

We became a fairytale
We still are

For centuries philosophers have speculated the role sleep plays in society
But it was not until the 1950s that sleep woke up in academia
And today sleep studies show what dormant minds really look like
Information about our rest we've never seen before
However, I've always understood the importance of bedtime
You see my parents taught me that sleep and love are soul mates

My mom
She's the sleeper
She loves to sleep
She cuddles up on any piece of furniture in my house and snoozes for hours
Never views a sitcom past the first commercial break when she's tired
And she's okay with that
Dad never lets her drive on road trips when night falls
Preferring his sleeping beauty tucked safely in the passenger seat
Their hands meet as she lets the stars serenade her to slumber
While he anchors his left hand on the steering wheel
Thanking his lucky stars for his real life princess

My dad
He's the snorer
He loves to snore
He roars like a lion on his love seat and naps for hours
Never views a sitcom past the second commercial break when he's tired
And he's okay with that
Mom never lets him sleep alone too long though
Keeping his nose plugged strong enough to signal for bedtime
They both stand together as he lets her guide him to slumber
While she ushers her left hand around his back
Thanking her lucky stars for her own prince charming

Now my parents call me the dreamer
And I sure do love to dream
It seems my parents are textbook role models for me
Because when you live inside a fairytale for far too long
Your reality becomes an endless stream of fantasies
Your expectations are exceptionally out of context
Strictly written for poetic lines in picture books
Never meant to be held
Never meant to be felt
Only meant for spines stuck on rosewood shelves

My parents call me the dreamer
And boy I love to dream
I believe in creating the unthinkable
And when you live inside a fairytale for far too long
Nothing is fictional
You picture a life with storybook endings
Praying the author never runs out of ink
You crown each syllable the king of the moment
Treating each page like royalty
And I've always been okay with that

So when I asked my mom when she knew she fell in love
She spoke of an instant of unadulterated emotion
She said she knew instantly
She didn't need to sleep on it
When I asked my dad when he knew he fell in love
He just smiled back at me
He must have known instantly
He didn't even speak on it
So when I ask myself when I might fall in love
I can't help but smile
Think of fairytale titles
Mile wide love notes in all shapes and styles
And a moment where my reality sets my hopes on fire
And I won't need to dream about it anymore

You’re gone now,
And there’s nothing I can do,
I want more than anything,
To run away with you

Just like a fairytale,
We’ll escape this town,
Where you’ll be my prince,
And I’ll wear a crown

We’ll wake up every morning
By each other’s side
Ready to begin our life
To take on the ride

You’ll dance with me
Just like you used to
Only this time
pain will be through

We’re here together now,
I won’t have to be hurt again,
This my little fairytale,
At least I can pretend.
lets run away
