The Traveler has been in contact
With the quantum subatomic
Microscopic level intruder
Like a hungry ape
The virus is in a feeding frenzy
Swinging from molecule to molecule
I hereby
Calm poetic immunity
To any pandemic collection
May you all be safe.
Traveler
words drip from my lips like honey,
thick and sweet
they make my paper their own. I hold no claim
i have learned to be obedient to my words
what Word says goes, I obey.
i hold the poetry within me i feel it within my bones and it burrows within my soul but i can't write and my fingers won't work. i need to speak and i need to let someone in. this is not something i can just tell with my pen.
Losing someone is like,
Losing yourself.
It ***** to lose someone.
When someone close to you dies,
It feels like your life just fell into pieces,
It feels like your heart is in pieces.
When that person so close to you dies,
You aren’t fully healed,
You’re upset for days maybe weeks or a month.
People ask what’s wrong.
And you tell them that you’re fine,
But really deep deep down,
You’re not fine,
You’re upset,
Your life is into pieces,
You’re not normal and you’re not your original self.
Losing someone is the worst feeling that you have ever felt.
You wonder what to do after you lost that close person.
Some people may tell you to move on after that close person died,
But you feel like that you can’t move on.
I’ve heard rumors about things,
I’ve heard that you want world peace?
Well good luck finding it,
Because that is never going to happen.
You see the bible says,
That there is always going to be a war.
You can hope and pray for it to stop,
But I can grantee you that it will never happen.
There may be world peace in your dream,
But not in reality,
So wake up and see reality,
Because world peace will never happen in real life.
I will stand by you,
I will stand by you until the end.
Go ahead and push me away, but
I will stand by you still.
Go ahead and call me names, but
I will stand by you.
Go ahead and ignore me, but
I will stand by you.
Go ahead and hide in the shadows and pretend you don’t exist, but
I will stand by you.
Go ahead and pretend that I don’t exist, but
I will stand by you
No matter what you say or do,
I will stand by you still.
I will protect you.
I will talk to you.
There’s nothing that you can do that will get rid of me because,
I will stand by you always.

Claire
Beneath the innocence of a child
Is the yearning desire to rebel,
Not against his or her youth,
But against the universal rules of normality,
Whether it be unleashed within a cupboard below a staircase
Or while sitting in the next room over,
Listening to the sound of what magic could be.
Perhaps if I keep reading,
This fantasy will live on
In a reality that is, instead,
My own.

As a child’s adolescence blooms,
The morbidity behind what it is to
Repeatedly fall victim to fiction
Is surreal.
Something that non-readers cannot comprehend
Is that the fantasy does live on in a way that is unfair,
For it simply resides in our ever-seeking minds
In which that same desire to rebel, too, lives on;
As I have already come as close as I ever will
To filling that void.
A final project for my Harry Potter Phenomenon course.

Did the self-encasing ice
Ever melt enough
To reach beyond,
So you
Stretch your tired fingers
In the cool spring air,
And flicker your eyes open
To the mid-morning mist,

Breathed in just shallow enough
To soothe that rain-like pit-pattering heart
And coo the aches of chilly soul,
Hushing the wisps of winter wither
Beyond the mind and somewhere thither.
