Waiting for what?

Why are you living,
in this empty house,
filled with only pictures,
with no man and not a mouse.
What you hold dear,
left long ago,
is it your former friends,
you are waiting for?

What is it you dread?
Is it the light?
Will it be red,
or will it be bright?
Take the ride,
it will be rough,
don't dare to hide,
just say "Enough!"

With no one around,
you are now freed!
No more you're bound,
but alone indeed.
Go now out and climb the trees,
that you out of fear ignore.
When what's left is only memories,
it's time to make some more.
