Unseen Damage
You continue to hit me
though you're not around.
Invisible pain,
it's there
and it hurts.
Indigo bruises
along my arms,
a big fire brick lump
on the side of my head,
your fault,
you are to blame,
I feel frailer
as each Monday
comes and goes
without a hi there
or a toodledo.
Another needle
in my foot,
ringing in my ear
and a thump
on my cheek
but I go on like normal,
keep wounding me dear,
I'll get you back soon.
