Too Greedy, Too Fast

I see myself behind the sorrow that you carry in your eyes.
My words to you sound hollow as I doubt my own advice.
I wonder how, so suddenly, everything went wrong?
Both of us are shattered, now eternity seems long.
I think back to the mental train wreck that ruined both our lives,
We’re so messed up and broken, we've got nothing left but lies.
I say, we’ve got each other, but think that’s less than was before,
Recuperating, bit by bit, but always wanting more
