Then and Now

(THEN)

A Dream

Came True.

A Seed,

You, Formed.

A Bud,

You, Born.

A Sapling,

You, Grew.

You Babbled,

They Laughed.

You Ate,

They Flattered.

You Staggered,

They Supported.

You Fell,

They Worried.
You Cried

They Wept.

You Played,

They clapped.

You Suffered,

They Exclaimed.

You Tried,

They Helped.

You Wished,

They Fulfilled.

You Failed,

They Mourned.

You Won,

They Celebrated.

(NOW)

A Tree

You Grown.

They Exist

A Blessing.

They Babble,

You Grimace.

They Walk,

You Irritate.

They Fall,

You Rebuff.

They Eat,

You Frown.

They Love,

You Deny.

They Cry,

You Ignore.
They Suffer,

You Hesitate.

They Wish,

You Repeal.

A Liability.

They Become,

Dream Turns,

A Nightmare.
