Skeleton, You Are My Friend

I want to know how many hairs you have on your head
Every color that makes up your eyes
I want to know the way your nose feels pressed against my cheek when we're kissing
And to study your tongue
So I know every shape
And movement
And taste
I'll map the contours of your neck with my teeth
And watch which places change color
I want to know how many goosebumps cover you
As I count all your ribs
Every bone in your spine
My hands will climb the arch of your back until they know exactly where each
Scar
Freckle
And bone peaks through
I want to know what shape bruises will appear on my hips
When yours have been pressing on mine too long
The tips of my breathes will echo back every curve you have from the waist down
So my mouth knows exactly where to travel
And you'll wonder
Just how I know the language of your body
As I look up at you from 10 toes
