Remembering

A teddy bear on a windowsill.
The solemn cry of a whiporwill.
Pictures hanging on the wall.
Leaves scatter, cobwebs sway,

Memories.

A hat on a hook,
shoes in pairs on the floor,
a book opened to page 39.

Fade.

Polka-dot sheets with a crumpled sweater,
nerdy glasses, an old dream-catcher.

With.

Collections gathered dust: rocks, cds bears...

Time.
