Rain
I can hear the whispers in the rain
Against me they conspire
To tear down defenses I have built
As protection from the fire
I’m watching the storm clouds passing by
They laugh at my dismay
As I see the walls come crashing down
The rain was going to save
Now lightening strikes on every side
The rain no longer falls
I hear all the whispers dissipate
Along with all the walls
Completely exposed to the flame
No defenses left in sight
I find my strength without the rain
With no walls I fight
