Prevail

Each of us has a dream when kisses turn into a vision
Wrapped in mystery and graceful gentleness
We sit until we see more to be certain
That which we see
Is blameless

We linger on until we can see those lips we kiss
No matter where the sun may rise
Knowing not what really exists
When we look into
Their eyes

Enfolded into forgotten joy we behold the realms
Of what could or should happen or may not
Allowing our burdens to overwhelm
And soon our dreams
We have forgot

Our hearts are tender and can be easily confused
Oft times they walk within a fairytale
Yet if one is always anticipating a hurting bruise
True love never has a chance
To prevail
