Poet Sureally Meets Dictionarian

Dictionarian’s carded words neatly pinned:
“Pants” upon uncrinkled suit, “Derby” above
Trimmed ears, “Shoe” for knees; “Eye,” each hair;
“Paisley,” “Pear.” Poet, mussed, unruffled, surrounds
Above wildly unknowable undulating beaut’s virtual worlds,
Impromptuly ap-disap-pearing, rotating life’s unmanufactured airs.

Derbied denizen displays deft quickness’s
Card, “Dictionarian, Measurer of Measurers.”
Poet says “For one instant what I am means, ‘What’s
Your box/cage with dreams leaking from cruel bottoms?’”
Index Cards speak, “Speech Units, defined, denotate, pinned
Carefully to death. You should peruse my collections of insects.”
Poet’s eyes oozing heartlings, smelling artificing reusable languages.

Cold Letters answer: “1.5 million
Terms alphabetized, intraconnected
Through shielded conduit copper! Every
Grammatically correct connection convened
Chess-move ultracomputational compasses.” Poet
Flexes ineluctable strength - “Live meanings, poets eat
X-purplish depths’ repossible self-pulling pins, quantuming
Wires, mulling epi-shining green caves lower soaring unkillable
Molting breasts. Losing doors, breaking waters, pulls spelt tongues
Toward life’s wild hair,” Dictionariest disappears into obese vacuum,
Deathly connotated…….precisely, sloppily.
