My Dandelion

Watching the dandelion seeds dance in the wind

Carrying their life’s tales to the ground

With each gust comes a new song

Breathing new life into their bodies

Inspiring new hope

A mother’s love into the breeze

A father’s spore spread into the earth

Both bring into shape a beautiful foundation

The seed its self takes its own personality

How you take off from my breath

My warmth covered over your body

Always seems to lift you up then drop you

Am I just a catalyst for your flight

Or did we let fate pick

I know why I chose you from all the others

I chose you for the wish I thought would come true

I’m always wishing on you.
