Inevitably Too Late

Is it old age
To look back,
And be ashamed.
To have to make choices,
While others play games.

Put your head down,
And suffer.
Because it's too late,
To start over.

Feeding off a few laughs,
To keep you live and well.
Strive to keep peace of mind,
But silence soon prevails.

You'll be back and forth,
On your way to weakness.
Till wisdom wraps you forever.
As soon as you know,
It will all be over.
