Good Morning, Sun

That unexpected bright blue,
Sunny sky
At 6 in the morning
Catches me by surprise
And wakes my tired eyes.
I've closed myself off in this
Warm, dark, little room for so long
That I
Forgot how early the sun comes up shining.
I got too used to those
Cold, dark, grey, cloudy skies
Of beautiful, snowy Winter
That accepted my negativity
With a simple little
Smirk.
If this sun sticks around
And the heat gets turned up,
Then maybe,
Just maybe,
I can hide my sorrows
And be happy.
