France.

A half cup of cold tea.
My eyes weary from the late hour.
Where are my eye drops, damnit...
Music still plays, even close to midnight.
A lonesome piano flings notes out into space.

My fingers tap against the cold plastic,
both to type these words
and to find new rhythms.
Perhaps they're the same?
