Copperhead

Sometimes it’s hors d'âge
cognac
in neat round crystal,
pinned back and
twisted perfectly
to complement
this uniform.

But he prefers it as
amber lager,
spilling over in rich
loose curls,
filling him up
and making him
tipsy.
