Before you leave the door,
Check the shine in your shoes,
Check the hairs on your head and the spots on your skin
Check the muscles in your shoulders,
Checks the loads that they carry,
Check the sounds in your ears,
Check the voices talking into you,
Check and make sure that you're there,
Check your hands to see if they're purple or shaking,
Check your feet to see if they fit your shoes,
And if the laces are in a bow
If they're fraying
Check to find if you are leaving
Or if you're staying.
