When he left
I felt as if I was burst open
And a part of me was taken away
I thought there was a gap in my heart
And a wound in my chest
But I was mistaken
It was only an illusion
An image created to explain
The sadness and the grief
My Father wiped away my tears
Now I can see clearly
There was never a void
My heart was alway full
Overflowing with the love of a Savior
I can only sing songs of praise
For He never left me
My scars are fading
And my joy has returned
I may have lost someone
But I am not at loss
His grace has made me whole
