I was laying on your chest

awake

listening to your heartbeat

and I realized that

it is no longer my favorite song

goodbye

ive seen depression,
many times.
felt the knife,
watched my loves hold
it their hands.
told myself never to feel that way.
not supposed to see loves that way,
not supposed to see sweet boy that way.

felt depression.
felt the hurt in my hands.
truth:
not not want life,
just can't feel now.

being isn't helping.
it's an ache that ebbs and flows,
and now that you're gone,
it throbs and holds.

You make me hurt inside.
This kind of hurt that steals my breath and upsets my stomach.
This hurt is so big that I often wonder how it fits inside my body. Maybe that’s why it hurts so much, because it’s too much, because it’s tearing out of my guts.
I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you hate I hate you hate hate hate hate hate hate.
I want to not know you, I want to forget you, I want to never hear of or even think of your existence again as long as I breathe.
It comes in massive explosions, this hurt.
A landmine in my body, it goes off when you touch my thoughts.
Twisting, searing, high-pitched hurt.
I want to be left alone.
Please please please please please please
Just leave me alone.

Even though we no longer speak
Your expectations are what I try to meet.

I hope you like my long hair,
Even though I want it cut.
I sometimes see you stare.
I want to kiss you but,
The bad times were too many.
The consequences could be
Deadly.

Oh my boy,
I miss you.
I miss you smirking at me.
Shit, I miss you looking at me,
And not looking sad.
I miss when you would play mad,
Just to see my pouty face,
When you would kiss me with force,
Just to put me in my place.

He was pale. Opaque,
His skin the color
Of a ghost.
For, that's what he was.

I could see right through him
As he moved in front of me.

He was so close,
Right before my eyes.

I wanted to reach out,
Grab him and pull him close.

I wanted to rest my head
Over his exposed chest.

I could see his heart beating
Behind his clear, glass, translucent shell.

For a moment,
He was still alive;
Until I reached
For his hand,

And couldn't feel his wrinkled grasp.

I am a wind up doll
Placed on the shelf with nothing to do at all
I'm  made from wood that was polished and painted
But I'm still plain, old and a bit faded

I have a faded golden pin stuck in my back
If wound up, it makes me walk
Walk, talk, sing, breathe, feel
It makes me real
And it makes me help you with anything you need
And do whatever you want me to do

Sounds nice, does it not?
To have a doll to do what you wish
Just wind her up whenever you need her
She'll always be there on the shelf waiting
And won't go anywhere

I am nothing but a wind up doll
Who cannot wind herself up
If I need someone to wind me up
So I can move, breathe or feel for myself
There is no one

You see,
They only wind me up when they need me
For I am just a wind up doll
A sad, lonely, miserable wind up doll

The difference between
knowing YOUR SHIT
and knowing YOU'RE SHIT.
