Determination is part motivation and part support
Motivation to do tasks yourself
Motivation from your family
But what do those people do when they don't have
You know the motivation the black panthers had to fight the power
The motivation that Martin had to to have a dream
The motivation that rosa had not to move
The motivation that Harriet had to move slaves to freedom
The motivation that slaves had to work all day picking cotton but still sang those ***** spirituals to get them through the day
Motivation leading to determination that a race won't be held down by anyone
But I wonder where that is today...
What other kind              of creature could divide
Each different thing             into its different sides
With chaos versus             order, dark and light
The stark duality of         wrong and right
We even split the very        world in two
With human versus human,       we and you
But still no matter how much      we divide
Each thing has infinitely many      sides
mirror, mirror on the wall
who's the fairest of them all?
perfect brown-eyed boy so tall
looking at her as i fall

she's so perfect from their eyes
as well as yours, so do mine's
so brave and wise, she's what you dream
and i can't deny, she's what she's seemed

beside the prince who dreamt so deep
lies a princess he'll always keep
as the happy couple had their sleep
the ugly duckling start to weep

mirror, mirror on the wall
tell me again not to fall
Say something
Something like you like me
Something like you care
Something like you see
Though you haven't stare

Say something
Something kind and sweet
Something like a smile
Some place we can meet
Though it can take a while

Say something
Something like you miss me
Something like you'll try
Something like we'll be
Though you said good bye

Broken
Adventure was in her spirit
Love was in her soul
Her heart a raging sea
That no one could control
Fire was on her fingertips
Wild was in her eyes
Freedom was her battle cry
As unchained as the sky

Broken
I used to believe in fairy-tales
Before my face bore all these scars
Before most of my heartbeats were broken
And I locked what was left behind bars

I used to believe in true love
Before true love stopped believing in me
Before I was thrown in a prison of memory
As she walked away with the key

I used to believe I was Prince charming
I would slay the dragon and save the day
Then I took a good look in the mirror
And I saw the beast lived in my face

I used to believe in happily ever after
It will would turn out alright you'll see
Then my own fairy tale lay broken
And in fairy-tales I no longer believed
