At night, i see the stars sparkling in my eye, lighting up the sky.
no, not lighting the sky, but rather shining in the space,
the space that seems to be empty but is overflowing with thought, passion, and wonder.
all blending together to make what is seemingly nothing,
which all the more makes it's creator something.

As the leaf falls, it is not acknowledging a life finished, of weeping over a life diminished. But turning down a new road, searching for a humble abode.
A place where it can be who it wants to be. A place to be free.
But as the wind guides it to the ground, a new thought it has found.
what freedom will it have, always lying still, doing nothing out of it's own will?
getting caught in storms, forced to take new forms.
And as I see this leaf falling, I wonder: where is this freedom that we strive to reach, that is wanted for us each, if we have not learned what they teach?
Because the world today requires not what we have bought, but requires thought.
We must enter this world having truthfully declared, that we are ready and prepaired. Being able to take on whatever the world throws in our path and quiet it's wrath. The freedom that we desire must be earned. to have it, many things must be learned.
The bar is always set higher than you are. You must have what it takes to go so far. You cannot simply be up to par.

Growing, Stretching, Straining for the Sun.
Cut down, crafted for the Son.
No greater purpose my kind could serve.
Once lost in a crowd, now a symbol to be eternal.
My life taken for a Son's life given.
Ignorant lives know not the magnitude.
These blind, know not the reason.
Lost souls moan in anger.
A cross pleads for the trees to cry out.
They Know Not What They Do.

The Greatest Sacrifice, Forgiveness
Love.

A Life given, a gate opened, salvation offered.
A hope realized, ours to make real.
A life in service, the least we can do.

No greater purpose can any find.

The Greatest Sacrifice, Forgiveness,
Love.
the story for the Cross' perspective.

" As aging continues and time goes by,

the desire for our voice to be heard becomes more of a cry.

Acceptance and attention is what we desire.

But the problem is who we admire.

We often search for praise from peers,

which may give our father tears.

Worldly glory is difficultly acquired,

so why not seek the lord,

in who's eyes we are greatly admired."

a cold, rough, worn nail,

experienced in life, wasted in strife.

a life spent driving; forever striving,

to hold together the works all around.

perpetual companion to a pound.

strain with persistence

rain and resistance.

A life goal and passion now lost,

for once comes up short in the cost.

the nail gives in, comes undone.

this last battle is one that will not be won.

No longer the strongest, no longer the Best,

now giving in, quitting to rest.

now it rests though it burns with desire

it wishes to build, but hasn’t the Fire.

Yet even in this darkest hour,

some outside strength brings inner Power.

the heat of the furnace, a greater Fire.

the Carpenter arrives, with him the Nail survives.

into the flame that soothes and heals

that power within the flame now reveals.

the pound of His hammer will never break it,

the strength of His hammer will forever remake it.

Now into the water to seal the change,

now out of the water to proclaim His love.

the Carpenter’s hand will always guide,

in His hand You can always confide.

now back to work to do His will.

A remade, renewed, loved Nail.
an original poem that served as the center piece of my art gallery.
Following God is not an easy life, but he constantly renews us and cares for us and we are brought back to His glory.
