Within my words    1997 -
19 year old girl who really likes writing poetry because otherwise she would probably die from asphyxiation of the soul.

"I'm not crazy, my reality is just different than yours"- Cheshire Cat

It's very hard to make sense of nonsense in a chaotic world filled with broken people trying to live as if they were whole.

"If you can't allow me to be the love of your life then I will be the loss of your life instead"

Eager to make friends here.
Known to be impulsive at times.

•                        fight hatred
                        with kindness,
                         meet loathing
                          with love &
                         when others
                          look down,
keep your sights up above... forgive those
who hurt you, forget those who leave, let
new people in so that you may receive...
                         a hand when
                       you've fallen &
                         a torch when
                           you're lost;
                           friends like
                        these come at
                       almost no cost...
                         all it takes is

                               LOVE

When it rained,
I tried looking for rainbows
But the skies were filled with dark clouds

When the darkness came,
I tried looking for stars
But everywhere was pitch black

Now that I am lost,
I want to look for you
But I know you too are adrift
In your own dream
Trying to figure out
Where those butterflies are

And if they wanted you to see them

I'm Not Worth Your Time

A clock ticks and
The beating of a heart
Just a hair apart
Almost in rhythm

While the wind blows
Across the globe
Quite in the night
Unheard-of in the daylight

And all voices are silent
Except the ones inside
Trying to fall asleep
But too afraid to turn out the lights

There will be no rest tonight

Don't listen to the voices, climb
Forget about old choices, climb
So what if it seems pointless, climb
Hoist a flag upon the mountain
Where you're done with struggling
Against yourself to start punching
Back, when
Life begins to push you around
Hard work's a crown
That may seem somewhat heavy but
You can turn depression upside down
Start gathering smiles from your frowns
Everything might be going wrong
But, cheer up!
Have the courage to stay strong
Step right past the emotional quicksand
Get yourself off the floor, and take a stand
Not a suggestion, a command
Because, once you do
You'll forget about feeling blue

My heart is a library
Each book representing a part of my life
They contain memories, good and bad
Best and worst ones, though
Those?
Those were left there by you.

I can look,

into your soul;

as i read,

the stories you hold.

Hold deep,

in your heart;

as you write,

your soul plays a part.

It reads,

like a movie script;

from long ago,

i love ,reading your soul.

You touch me,

in every word,

i feel the emotion,

coming from your heart,

as your soul,plays it's part...

think about him all the time
obsess, mull, chew on
think about how he loved her more
about how he was never happy with you
about how he used you

see other people being happy
wish for the same feeling
know that you won't ever be that way
god never gave you the ability
long for that bliss

eat alone, sleep alone, be alone
loneliness was never optional
make it your home
your bed, your living room
make it your kitchen floor with cold tiles and dirty socks

think about him again
and again and again and again
think about him leaving
and think about him loving her instead
and think about his smile with the dimple on the left side

think about what it was like to be happy
and don't go back
