Her walk is soft and elegant,
though her steps carry such weight.
They smash the earth
with mammoth force.
They ignite the loneliest hearts.
They inspire my mind to sway
to the song I still can not explain
nor wish to
cause the crash of cymbals that wrap around
her smile light this city in a way no other can.
The pluck of the bass weave a groove from
her hips
to my arms.
Its that feeling, that feeling
you can't describe but
can only hum.
The melodies of sweet brass that swing
off her gentle skin force my heart to
dance
to her beautiful jazz.
Oh yes, her beautiful jazz.
I'm not scared of dying.
I'm only scared that I'll die
before I could change
a life.
Please don't lie to these bones
I always believed I could draw blood
from a stone
until you
Paradise until we die, nothing but a tangerine sky
Avoid the lies that shall keep our hands soft and tied
May I
Listen to that heartbeat that
keeps this earth spinning on
its axis
Feel those breaths that usher
in spring time as we wear
wintercoats lost in a frozen
plain
Then again they all start the same.
Upon a hill, far from home,
near a fire
my only wish is for
this night to
expire and
I curse at every mirror
for it shows me a man I
can never ever be.
I'll never be.
I suppose life would be no fun
if there was a ladder leading out
of this well.
But why must it be a well?
I just want to be well.
Somebody is always asking me,
"Do you believe someone is
really up there?".
I couldn't care.
I only feel holy when the
soft breeze waltzes with
her hair.
Lonely soul, why do you call nostalgia home?
Lonely soul, you only read the books where
the love is gold.
Lonely soul, you don't need no poetry
and you don't you have to live alone.
The man looked sad
so I asked
"Why you sad?"
He said "My fiancee is in the piano and I haven't slept in days
and to tell you what, it isn't because there is a hole in her heart
but because there is a hole in my pocket!"
I walked away with a steep sigh
disappointed
as usual.
the smell of red roasted leaves
do not remind me of the beauty
of fall
nor the pumpkins that call
the serene apple orchards home
I think more so of the
fires that burn
the hope of summer and
inspire the fear of winter
I think of the thousand
unknown faces
I'll attempt to kiss
with
your favorite sweater
still sleeping in my bones
and that really
the fall's only beauty
is to
remind me
that
it will get cold
If you ever want to leave
Here’s something to believe
My love is like the trees
Cut down for fancy buildings
You’re the head of the construction
Such horrible destruction
Yet I wouldn’t change a thing
They can have your soul
but not your words.
They can take your heart
but not your pen.
What to write next?
That's the beauty.
The art before everything.
One of my professors once told me I had three seconds
to make
eye contact with a person on the subway
before they became defensive.
I cherished each second and smiled
at every stranger I could.
Yes, man.
I have completely abolished the thought of her.
Eradicated that summertime face from my psyche.
It means nothing now, it never was anything.
It was ridiculously easy to forget.
I couldn't even believe how easy it really was.
I mean the only times I think of her now is
when I drink and write.
Perfect.
My passion thrives when she moves

She walks in a room, you're bound to lose

For once I think I believe in God

But Johnny Walker I'm going to need your help too

I'm just a boy from a suburb no ghetto

Walk your dog and everything in between

I swear I got lost in those stained glass eyes

She said "Hawaii till the day we die!"
(She said "Hawaii till the day we die!")
I wouldn't say I'm in "love"
but
I know when she is around
Wherever she lay
That's where the sun shall stay
You can blanket them in gifts
and parade them all over town
as a decorated trophy.
Show them every single
wonder of the world
down to the finest details.
Bathe in the grandest wines
amidst a lavish party
with each sip you believe
you believe you know what it is
to love.
The highest mountain you go
overlooking a scenic sea
where the fire between your hearts
sparks a light stronger than moon
could ever imagine.
You've seen them at their greatest
so now you believe you know what it is
to love.
No when everything is black
you will know what it is
to love.
When they have reached the absolute bottom
fumbling amongst wreck and despair
will you know what it is
to love.
Be at your best when they
are at their worst.
Then you will know
what it is
to love.
There is no hope in
Hatred
Only Strength in
Unshackled love
Our backgrounds play
No part in this battle
The Children from the bottom
In the dirt
And
The Children from the top
In the medallion sky
Are molded
Hand in hand
Enemies of today
And their ancestors of yesterday
Live for each other
To better each other
In a union of
Compassion and Justice
Defeat the Wicked
Be the change
The change you seek
When we realize
That the nature of
Our hearts
Bleed with kindness
For one another
Then and only then
Will we strike fear
In the home of the wicked
Show them our dreams and
Unity.
Dance in the sand,
let the ocean waves push you to me.
Marinate your bones in the heat and breeze!
When winter arrives supposedly summer dies.
But ah summertime memories shall keep you warm
with our love, and set our shivering souls free!
